Dr. Scott J Shulman

Dr. Shulman is a nice man, but is not a doctor I would ever recommend. He missed diagnosing an issue with my mom's back that would have led to total paralysis in her leg if she hadn't taken the initiative to talk to a specialist and have the surgery she desperately needed. And with me, I told him I had been vomiting at least once a week for several months and his response was that we would continue to watch it. At my next physical, a year later, I complained of the same symptom and his only response was "we'll continue to monitor it". That is not an acceptable response to such a long lasting problem.

Dr. Shulman has the most amazing personality and is a great communicator as well. He explains every issue in great detail and every option for treatment/resolution of the medical issues. He has been an amazing physician for me for many years and trust him completely with helping manage my care. His staff has been great as well. I cannot say enough about Dr. Shulman and his kindness and ability to face issues with me head-on and work with me to find the options that help me the best. He is a 5-STAR physician and I highly recommend him if you're looking for the best!

Dr. Shulman is one of the best physicians I have ever had care for me. He treats the patient and not the textbook. He works with the patient, has outstanding knowledge, has a pleasant personality and follows up quickly with information related to questions and testing. I thoroughly trust him with my care. I have verified other MD speciality treatment plans with him because of that level of trust.

When my husband and I moved to Georgia 20 yrs. ago, I called for a recommendation for an Internist, and was given Dr. Shulman's name. For more reasons than I can count, it was one of the wisest things I ever did when I acted upon that recommendation. He is caring, compassionate, intelligent, possesses great common sense, has a wonderful sense of humor and if asked a direct question, he will actually give you as direct an answer. I could go on and on.

Dr. Shulman has been my Primary Care Physician for many years and he has helped me through many difficult medical situations. Our relationship (an example of his many favorable personal traits) is more like friends than physician and patient. He goes out of his way to arrange appointment times that fit my schedule rather than his convenience. And when I meet with him, I can be assured of top notch medical consultation, examination, health care, or whatever the visit is about. He sets the bar pretty high for all other physicians and it's a joy to have him to turn to at times when it counts most.

My husband and I have been patients of dr Shulman for many years. Now, all of our adult children have enrolled with his office under his supervision. He is truly amazing! Brilliant in knowledge, progressive medicine and incredible concern for his patients.

Love Dr Shulman. He really listens to you and will spend as much time as necessary. You can also call his nurse or email t hru the Laureate website, and youll get an answer in less than 24 hours. He like most internists so sometimes you only see a nurse practitioner for non emergencies. I dont love that but I understand how these large practices work. But he does give you personal attention within that large office, and you can get a lot of services right there. They also keep going more and more electronic which is convenient.

Dr Shulman is probably the most courteous and one of the most comepent physicians I have retained as my personal physician. He truely listens to me and is willing to work with me. He gives me options when appropriate. He is a committed professional. An exception in this day. Kay Woodruff

Dr. S spends time with you, personally checks BP and asks a plethora of questions to help achieve diagnosis. He gives YOU options on care follow up and treatment. These are a few of the many reasons my wife and I have made him our chosen Internist for 14 years.
