Dr. Scott Charles Slattery, MD

Dr. Slattery did a total hip replacement for me after I fell and fractured my femur while visiting the Centralia area. I was not at home and didn't know anyone to choose, but I am so glad I was given Dr. Slattery. He was calm and unhurried and gave me a lot of confidence while I was hurting from the fracture. Really appreciated him and Jessica, his PA, who also is very professional and caring. A great team!

Slattery ordered MRI on hip after X-ray didn't reveal an issue but didn't ever check up on it...The Result: Walking for nearly 2 months on fractured hip. Even though it was a spontaneous hip fracture (no known cause) which one study says 2 to 3% are caused by serious issues such as bone cancer, Slattery proceeded to try to pin and then replaced the hip and never researched or tested for something more serious. He admitted he had never seen this sort of thing where he had to scoop soft bone (which was cancer hello!!) out but had attitude of its just a mystery and he was done. The result: Allowed another year of bone cancer to eat away at patients entire skeleton before a different orthopedic surgeon diagnosed it as cancer. I feel like Scott is a very surgeon but a total failure at diagnostics. Just based on statistics of spontaneous fractures having serious causes, it means my wife was not the only person Slattery has missed on this. He can't repair the damage he has done but if… this can prevent someone else from suffering unnecessarily then it's worth it.

Dr. Slattery did a great job on my carpal tunnel surgery and I had a rapid recovery. (I feel like he put a new hand on my while I was "under.") I know everyone has a different rate of recovery based on their own particular condition. Still, my condition was rated "severe" and I did fine. Dr. Slattery is super-professional, easy to talk with and certainly knows his stuff. His office is very friendly and courteous and I was scheduled very promptly for both my initial consult and my subsequent surgery. No waiting weeks and weeks. I couldn't be more satisfied.
