Dr. Scott Joshua Szabo, MD

Saw him for a work injury to my left shoulder. torn tendon to bicep and a couple other tendon with partial tears. He buzzed into the room as fast as he left leaving no time to ask any questions. Dismissed my shoulder pain as a pinched nerve. i started to ask him why then did icing my shoulder relieve the pain. At no time have i ever had neck issues or pain. Even the workers comp place is perplexed with the diagnosis and they want a second opinion. Barely looked at my MRI and Xrays. Probably the most pompous doctor i have ever met. If he was in the room more than 3 minutes i would be surprised. My companies EHS person was in the lobby and noticed that everyone going in was popping out minutes after. Wish i would have read his reviews prior because they are all spot on accurate. His bedside manner, if you can say he has one, sucks. You can tell he is just in it for the cash. I imagine if he thinks he can gleen enough cash out of you, you might have a different… experience, because i cant imagine what else could have adjusted his demeanor.

He deliberately tried to hurt me/re-injure me at my first follow up appointment after shoulder surgery only two weeks after. He yanked on my arm so violently I couldn’t even speak afterwards. Then he just walked out. After talking to virtually every other PA or nurse at the practice I came to find it was like a running joke in the office as they would all kind of smile a bit and laugh it off. I wish I could Sue them out of existence! You are doomed if you go there! Expect lots of pain and incompetence and flat out lack of care.

Very intelligent and has been doing this for many years. Has operated on myself, both of my siblings, and my dad. Very friendly and informative. Will get you in and out of there very fast. Knows what he’s doing.

My Son was diagnosed with a torn labrum by Dr.Szabo. Had surgery and we are pleased with the results. Not a lot of small talk but very thorough and explained everything in detail. He listened and answered our questions. His rehab program is well defined and conservative. By that I mean it is certainly not rushed. My Son has a friend who had the same surgery the same day by another physician. His rehab program was considerably faster. My Son tore his other shoulder labrum and Dr Szabo is the physician because we felt very good about how the first one was handled. We hope all goes as well as the first.

I saw just Dr Szabo for severe knee problems. He came in and told me the results of my MRI which I had no idea what they meant. I got maybe 2 words of my question out and he said that he will write up the order for my PT and I’ll see you in 4-6 weeks and then walked out the door. I asked the nurse what does that all mean and she didn’t have an exact answer. At my first appt I explained where I worked and what my duties were. He pulled me out of work for a few days and then at my follow up appt we were to discuss what was next. My job is very physically demanding and when I asked him if I could be excused for another week because I still can barely walk and let alone drive he said he would put me on a sedentary restriction. I didn’t even know what that was. The nurse told me that basically I’m allowed to sit for a week and then go back full duty. I explained My job requires me to be on my feet 8+ hours day and that I don’t even have a desk! She talked to him again and she rudely came… back and said that sedentary work was all that he would do. I had to basically beg for that! I wish I did my research first. I know there is something else going on with my knees. I’m an definetly going somewhere else for a second opinion. I’m very disappointed.

I had an mri arthrogram done for shoulder pain. He met with me aftewards. Results were normal. I was in excruiating pain. He said muat be your neck and walk out. I didnt even matter to him. It was like because it wasn't. My shoulder suddenly i am not important. Horrible attitude.

Dr. Szabo was very much right to the point of my shoulder problem. Not a lot of small talk, just truthful and professional. This is what people should want in a MD.

Was mandatory to see this pile of crap for a workers compensation ime exam. Funny thing was I had a surgery appointment setup a few weeks later with one of best orthopedic surgeons in the region. Dr.szabo didn't know that and of course went along and did his tests. While doing then he made sure to ignore everything including all the papers from my rehab and prior doctors and surgeries. Before going into the room I did my research and knew what he looked like. While entering the room I watched him sit in the corner hall eyes stuck to his cell phone like a 16 year child. I sat in the room for 15 mins before he came in. When checking my range and mobility I had told him to stop and he kept pulling. I literally had to raise my tone to get him to stop. I will advise that if you need to see him for a independent medical exam you bring a witness or have an attorney request a recorded appointment. This doctor should be barred from doing anything medical related. I would also like to include… the whole staff is very unprofessional. The nurse assistants and the xray technicians are very unprofessional. The young lady doing xrays seemed to have a problem bad mouthing another patient who was before me. Wish anyone who has to see him good luck and have an attorney for you will need. If you're looking to find a new orthopedic doctor I would stay far away from him.

Do not expect DR.SZABO to spend much time with you , have all the questions you want answers to all ready,you will be in and out of their before you know it.I went their for a knee problem he recommended the roster comb shot or synvisc one the only problem is he has two different two different physician assistant giving the shot,one is Zach the other is scott,if you get Zach you will be ok but if you get scott you are in trouble,has a bad attitude,I had a set back and he asked me why should we keep treating you if you are going to keep injuring yourself,things went down hill from their can't prove it but I know he injected me with ice water. GOOD LUCK!

very rude doctor was in a hurry and did not listen to a word i was saying ....would not suggest him to anyone !!!!!
