Dr. Sharone S Lich, PhD

I saw Sharone Lich for couples therapy during the pandemic. From the start, she often spent too much time talking about herself at the beginning of each session, which took away from the focus on our relationship issues. She rarely directed the conversation toward the real problems we were facing. For homework, she would send rough copies of outdated worksheets and then use our session time to tell anecdotes about former patients, rather than address our concerns directly. After over a year of therapy, when my partner said they no longer wanted to be with me during a session. I asked Dr. Lich what our next steps should be. She replied that she had never had a couple break up before and suggested that we all just go our separate ways. In that moment, I felt not only abandoned by my partner but also by my therapist. Overall, I found the experience to be lacking in the support and guidance I was hoping for during such a difficult time
