Dr. Shazia Ambreen Malik

I was waiting undressed in the exam room for over 1 hour & politely asked if they forgot about me. The Dr finally came in and lectured me for 5 minutes about never forgetting about patients & they were just behind (this was a morning appt). She was very condescending. Be respectful of a patient’s time if the nurse had come in & said sorry the Dr is running behind, that would have been a better patient experience. The whole appointment took 2.5 hours since they want you there 1/2 hour early. I missed another appointment because of this.

The craziest thing happened with this office! I called to see if I could see Dr. Malik as a new patient. They stated they possibly could but needed a referral. My doctor sent a referral and Dr. Malik's office called me back to say they got the referral and wanted to make my appt (on my voicemail). I called their office back on Monday and they said they cannot see my case. I was shocked. I re-listened to the voicemail again. It was the same lady, stating my name and they wanted to make a new patient appt. I called back yet again and told her it was her voice! I am shocked and the disorganization and rudeness. I guess I am glad I learned now instead of later.

While Dr. Malik might be good at what she does, her office staff stinks. They never return phone calls. I am waiting for over 2 months to get a return call and something scheduled and this is not the first time. Debbie takes many days to return a call, if at all, and the same with Myrna. I've never seen anything like it. The front desk staff are very young and unprofessional and not friendly at all. I always dread having to deal with them. Also, the doctor has never been on time for an appointment, or even close. The first time I waited for over 1½ hours, or maybe more. She also doesn’t listen at all. She is always talking over you and going on and on. She needs to be more concise and simplify her findings. It gets very confusing. It's unfortunate that Dr. Malik is one of very few doctors that specializes in her field, or I would never step foot in that office again.

Dr. Malik has done a couple of surgeries on me and I have had no complications from them. She takes the time to listen to me and accommodated me on getting a surgery done for the date I needed. I would recommend her to others.

Dr. Malik is the best. I had absolutely no problems after surgery. She is wonderful and takes time to discuss with you. The only prob is the wait. However, I have found that is the case in every single doctor's office I have visited. The front office staff is sort of busy and not very friendly. Too bad it affects her overall score. My family really, really, liked her and appreciated her taking time to talk to them.

I agree with other reviewer. I was shocked at the dirt and dust in the procedure room. Dr. Malik is always talking fast and in a hurry, no time to listen to the client . No time to get your opinion in or voice your concerns. Staff is nice .

I was not pleased with the condition of the procedure room. It was dirty. Also, I felt uncomfortable with the attitude of the tech. Doctor Malik was training an intern & she was in a hurry. She seemed to quickly get out of the room when I chose to not go ahead with surgery first. I think that the pessary had been used by someone before me because I had to take it back when it didn't fit me. The second one I was given was in a package with instructions and the first one did not have that.
