Dr Torres is rarely around. Even during business hours all my calls went to the answering service. They were no help either. I would never recommend her. Almost have to beg for my anti seizure meds. More than once the pharmacy felt sorry for me and filled partial prescription because they couldn't find her either. Good luck.

Rarely answer the phone. All calls get directed to answering service even during business hours. Have to practically beg for regular prescription refills.

Horrible experience. Wont call to discuss results like she said she would do. Has staff call and they are not properly informed. That means they have to "catch" her and have her answers questions..that takes days or longer. Even though patient is elderly and in severe pain!! .Very unorganized with lab results!! Can't find the ones that were faxed over. Had to refax from hospital. Front Office staff was polite!

Modern Version of the Hippocratic Oath ...visit shall be for the convenience and advantage of the patient ...I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy outweigh ...the chemist's drug ...I do not treat a CHART but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person, family... ...May I long experience the JOY of healing Dr. Baez-Torres are you creating an office environment conducive to healing? Are your office policy stressing your support staff and the patients you serve? MAY GOD BLESS YOU and teach you what is a humble healer. AMEN

First impression was excellent. Seems extremely competent.

Does not have good patient care skills. Made an appointment for 2 months in advance and was only seen by the doctor for less than 15 minutes. Too much time waiting, yet less time to talk to the patient. Very bookish healthcare professional and does not know how to convey clinical information in a layman's term. NOT A VERY COMPASSIONATE PHYSCIAN......LOOKS ONLY AT THE BOTTOM LINE. (MONEY MOTIVATED).

I initially went to Dr Torres after having an ER visit where i was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri amongst other things. The wait for an initial appt was close to 1.5 months. Within the time period that i waited the medication i was prescribed caused kidney stones which landed me in the hispital. I was then asked if i had seen the neurologist an i informed them i was nit scheduled for an appt until the following week. I was asked to call again. When i did and explained u was just released from the hospital sudsenly an appt became available the next day. I come into the office and explain, my vision problems, migraines, memory loss, jumbled speech, and incoherence. She makes some comments about my condition being because im overwreight and that it happens to people whi take anabolic steroids. The tone she used was more accusatory than exploratory. I explained that hypothyroidism is causing the eeight gain and that i do not nor ever have taken any type of steroid thay was not directly… injected into me by a doctor for ailments. She still maintained the same standoffish demeanor. She rhen ignored everything else i said and told me i needed to see a neuroopthalmologist because he is "better than her".I explain to her that i had already been seen by an opthalmologist and that everything comes back normal. She insists and refers me anyway. She provides me with a referral to a PEDIATRIC neuroopthalmologist. Luckily the center has a adult doctor and i see him. As expected once again everything comes back normal. He asks me to get back together with Dr Baez.I call Dr Baez office again for return appt. Oh two months from now. I get aggravated and tell the receptiinist that i cannot wait that long as my condition is affecting my ability to drive, see, think and perform my job dutirs and my employer is asking me to either take a STD or LTD unril conditiin improves or i will lose my job. Suddenly an appt becomes available in two days, how convenient!!!I return to doctor Baez who once again assumes the standoffish demeanor and says she ia going to give me something for my headaches. I askAbout the other symptoms and although i had explained them to the ER neurologist, i explained them to her the first time, i explained them again to her assistant this time and he wrote them down she now states, oh i didnt know about those. AAARRRRGGGGGG!!!!I ask about my employment situation and she literally raised her hands up palms towards me and stated she doesnt do disability an to go see my primary care doctor. I explained that my PC physician stated that it would be upto ber and she repeated the same gesture. She then gives me a bloodwork referral and a referral to a neuropsychologist and tells me that if. Anything comes up she'll call me. Doesnt even want me to make a follow up appt.Although be age may have to do some with her inexperience i truly believe this doctor is totally incompetent. Looking for a different doctor.
