Dr. Sheila Gay Levin, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Levin’s over 30 years ago. She is outstanding and one of the best doctors I’ve ever known. She helped me greatly with a chronic condition that required surgery and I’ll never forget her sincerity and support. Dr. Levin was a former high school science teacher and there are hundreds of us if not more who are delighted that she decided to change professions.

About 12 years ago my daughter was extremely under weight and was suffering from C-dif. Dr. Levin was assigned to her in the hospital. She took a no nonsense approach and my daughter didn’t like her at all. Because of Dr. Levin she turned her life around. She became involved with running, biking and swimming. She gained weight and has done a few Ironman competitions. She had used a nutritionist and now could stand to loose a couple lbs. I believe her anger towards Dr. Levin gave her the incentive to prove her wrong. I always wanted to thank you because you saved her life. She would have died. I don’t know if you would remember her but I’ll never forget you. Thank you seems so inadequate for saving my daughter.??

Dr. Levin is what I wish all my doctors would be. She listens, addresses all my concerns, is exceptionally knowledgeable, gives clear explanations & instructions--and never makes me feel like a question is unreasonable. She's also very kind. If she isn't "prompt for my appointments occasionally," it's because she spends time with patients and types her own notes. I think she's wonderful.
