Dr. Shelly Mercer, MD

The health care provider was condescending and unprofessional. She made assumptions, including the statement "I know this isn't what you wanted." This is an inappropriate thing to say; together with a disinterest in providing adequate explanations for her diagnosis, as well as being under prepared for the visit, she has created an erosion of trust in her ability to provide adequate care.

She seemed very underprepared for the visit, and to have made her diagnosis before meeting my daughter. She was not interested in further investigation into her symptoms, nor in properly explaining her conclusions. She seemed to be having a bad day, and brought her annoyance into the patient room. She was condescending, and created a significant erosion of trust in her ability to care for my daughter. We waited seven months for an appointment to be dismissed and be told to take some vitamin D, and to eat a Brazil nut once a day. The quality of care was disappointing.

Love Dr. Mercer. She is always personable and really concerned about my child wellbeing.

She didn't seem open to investigating farther for other things that could cause my daughter's symptoms. She was stuck on one particular thing because of family history and told us we wouldn't need to come back if her blood tests were negative. She seemed annoyed.

Dr Mercer is lovely. She is fun and thorough. She is personable and clearly knowledgeable. She clearly cares and I am thankful she is the doctor over our son's care.

Dr Mercer was wonderful. She explained everything to us. Gave us options and listen to our concerns. We left with a treatment plan that we felt comfortable with and well informed about.
