Dr. Sherin Sultana Parvez, MD

Dr. Sherin Parvez is absolutely amazing. She is extremely attentive during our sessions has helped me grow throughout my career. She always keeps notes about my personal life and career so we can continue where we left off during our last session. Dr. Sherin Parvez always takes the time to understand me and my life and uses that to treat me properly. The staff at Silver Lining Psychiatry provides an excellent level of patient care and is always available if I have any questions. I would recommend Dr. Sherin Parvez to anyone!

I don't know if my one-star rating is fair. For a given doctor to truly deserve a single star may need for them to prove themselves inadequate across several different categories of care. I gave up on working with Dr. Sherin Parvez within about five minutes so I never really got to find out whether or not they deserved one-star across the board or if it was simply their bedside manner that was one star. But the bedside manner, specifically that argumentative approach taken by the doctor within the first couple of minutes of our first tele-health session, led me to terminate the session. I said I felt the doctor was not respecting me and that I’d end the call if it continued. It continued. I hung up. I have zero interest in trying to work on my psychiatric care with anyone that won’t listen to their patients.

Very rude and bad listener

I saw this woman for sexual abuse. Without asking me what happened, she immediately jumped to the conclusion that I made it up in my mind and was completely delusional. I tried to tell her that I'm an engineer who has been working in the defense industry for over a year, but she barely let me get a word in. Instead she put me on antipsychotics and refused to speak to me again until she talked with my mother. I brought my mother with me to the next visit and Sherin told me she needed to speak to her in private, which I never gave permission for. Then she got upset that I looked afraid and said she wouldn't see me anymore because we can't make a connection. This extreme bias with sexual abuse victims is extremely dangerous in her profession. I believe she's going to end up severely hurting someone.

Dr. Sherin Pravis has shown to provide poor patient care. She does not listen to concerns or take the time to understand what is going on, before suggesting treatment plan. She does not explain rationale for treatment or what to expect from it. She is not accessible in between appointments and if you are able to reach the office, all questions are communicated through a receptionist. This has led to conflicting instructions and miscommunication about treatment. I have found her to be arrogant and defensive. I have been successful in management of my mental health treatment for many years and started seeing Dr. Pravis after a recent move to FL. This has been more worst experience, my only regret that that I saw her for almost 5 months and didn't leave after the first appointment after sensing multiple red flags. I also have had concerns with confidentiality due to being able to see a list of all patients on the schedule for the day with their copay at my check in for each visit,… overhearing private information being discussed over the phone from waiting room, and communication through the receptionist.

One of the best overall experiences I have had with a healthcare professional. A++

I was longing for a caring Psychiatrist for a long time. Switched one after another between my PCP's and Psychiatrists. I believe my search is over, I had an awesome experience at Silver Lining Psychiatry. I found the doctor caring, listening, and welcoming. Total satisfaction after the session.
