Dr. Sherman Ward Cole, MD

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR! I was referred to him by my General Practitioner. He misdiagnosed me as schizophrenic and prescribed the wrong medication for me which almost drove me to suicide. The correct diagnosis is OCD. He prescribed Klonopin/ clonazepam for me in which he told me to take depending on the severity of a panic attack which he shouldn't have done since it is highly addictive. He had me hooked and still prescribed me more and more. I kept going to him so I could get my "fix". I sent a complaint to the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, and they found that I provided enough information to investigate him. I was told that it was rare for a doctor to receive a reprimand for one complaint. See the website Healthgrades and you find similar complaints from others about him. If you had a bad experience with him, please report him to the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. You can find the form to complete on their website. My life was pure *** while under his care. Please don't go… through what I did. If you have a legitimate complaint, please report him. HE HAS TO BE STOPPED.

Dr. Cole is very good at understanding the problem and providing multiple treatment options. Truly cares about his patients.

We had an issue with a prescription and the pharmacy called the Dr's office and we called the Dr's office on a Friday afternoon. Tuesday afternoon we still had no call back from anyone. I called and was very upset. The receptionist just wanted to put me back in the same voicemail line that we left the message in on Friday. This was unacceptable which made me even madder. then I lost my temper with the receptionist. She said she would make sure the Dr got the message. The doctor call our pharmacy that night and cancelled all of my husbands prescriptions, even ones he had not written to him. Then he did not even call us until the next day. I believe that is illegal and I am sure it is immoral. I am sure it is not the way to support your patients that need mental health support. Thank God we have found an office that calls us back and is concerned about us. I would never go back to this office.

Dr. Cole has been my psychiatrist my whole adult life, from diagnosis through today. He is an extremely good psychiatrist who possesses a heart of gold. You would be fortunate to have this doctor as your own.

Dr. Sherman Cole is the most caring and knowledgeable psychiatrist I've ever been to. His knowledge of pharmacuticals is foremost but is only topped by his caring for each and every patient he has. I have recommended him to my family and would not hestitate to recommend him to others. He is a top notch doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cole's for years. He is one of the best physicians I've ever known. His knowledge of different medications and their uses is extensive. He is compassionate, funny and a wonderful doctor. I am so fortunate to have had him as my physician through many times, both good and bad. He has helped me navigate a serious mental illness for a very long time.
