Dr. Shrinath S Kamat, MD

I requested medical records 5 months ago from Dr. Kamat's office and every time I call down there I am told the doctor still has yet to sign off on the records to be released. This is completely unacceptable. He also seems to hire the most uneducated and incapable people he can possibly find, as his staff usually has no idea what is going on. I would stay as far away from Dr. Kamat or any other office he has connection to if you are looking for a responsive and capable physician's office.

Totally inept office staff, lost MRI, terrible interpersonal skills. Waits of 2 to 3 hours are to be expected before you're to be seen but you're not told that. Dangerous for diabetics.

The waiting time is horrible and long!

Out of 5 visits, the wait has never been less than, a 4 hr. wait. On the last visit aft 3 hrs.' several people that came in after us, were called back for service, which upset my husband very very much. this was the last time we had this experience in this office.

I came to this office out of necessity. I have been coming here for some time....so "yes" the strand of negative reviews are spot on. upon your initial visit, you are to do the standard paperwork which under no circumstances are you to turn in (or a copy of your medical history) before your appointment. Each time you arrive, you are to fill out a little form which asks for your "race" (on a non confidential form btw). Yes the 3 hour waits and sea of patients are norm as "the rude office staff" unfortunately bearing customer anger due to the doctor's lack of adequate staffing. THAT is a reflection on the doctors business sense. The office manager and Mary I found have been the most kind, professional and knowledgeable members in a rotating door of nobodies who saw the 'take a night class commercial while watching Springer' and you get (luz). But don't worry; I don't think she works there anymore! Luz's problem was just downright classlessness by 'fronting' as though she was gonna… 'come for you' physically each time her incompetence was called out. While I found her antics "cheap entertainment" it once again reflects poorly on management. I wish the office manager was given the professional capacity to carry her duties more effectively. (And yes- the amount of time spent with the doc is about 10 min) but I can't complaint since I already spent 2:45hrs staring at the walls.

I have seen Dr. Kamat for almost a year, and everytime I go to the appointment I have to wait in a packed waiting room for almost 3 hours. Then spend not more than 10 minutes with the Dr. He doesn't tell me much about my condition unless I ASK. His staff is rude and don't care. If I miss my appointment, I am charged $25.00 and that can't be paid by mail or CHECK. I have to go INTO THE OFFICE BEFORE I can make another appointment and it has to be made in CASH. This is a rip off of senior citizens and I will never go back there again.

i went to my dr appt..the waiting room was packed--after bout 10 min.of waiting 1 by 1 of the patients were complaining about how long they have been ther--some up to 3 hrs. i find it horrible to make patients wait for that long--some walked out in utter discust and othhers needed their meds so bad had no choice but to wait it out--the office closes at 4 and at 3:5 their were 5 people left to be seen--i will never go back to him--people take heed on this guy

Dr. Kamat was very helpful at the hospital in diagnosing me. He did a brain scan and found a drug that helped me get out of bed and become functional again. He is a good man and cares about his patients.
