Dr. Sonya Lee, MD

Patients, be cautious. This doctor has a poor bedside manner and misdiagnosed my condition. They recommended a full hysterectomy, which I later found out was completely unnecessary after consulting a urogynecologist. It seems like when you see a surgeon, the first solution is surgery. Please, always get a second or even third opinion before making any decisions about your health.

Poor bedside manner. Took two seconds to examine me and then proclaimed I needed a hysterectomy because of prolapse. Said it matter of factly. Had to probe for answers. I felt so sad and like a piece of meat after I saw her. I got a second and third opinion and she was wrong!

I saw Dr. Lee in the beginning of Sept. I felt rushed and as though she wasn’t listening to me. She left the exam room and simply never came back without the appointment being finished. I had 2 MRIs that she requested and she never called me with the results. After calling her office 4 times over 2 months to request the results I was told she wants me to make an appointment to discuss. I absolutely refused to do so and after yet another 2 phone calls she called me. She was extremely curt and offered me no additional help. I asked her a question regarding the medication I’m on and got 100% false information. Dr. Lee came highly recommended however I personally would never ever recommend her to anyone. She may be a good surgeon but her bedside manner is non existent. Unless you have the energy and patience to deal with what I just mentioned do yourself a favor and find someone else. For someone who is in the medical field she sure does not care to actually help people.

This physician does not communicate with her patients nor does she take accountability for her own mistakes. My sister waited almost 8 hours for a procedure due to her mistake and then when she was ready to leave, the physician opted for general anesthesis as opposed to local in order to complete the procedure faster. She was ready to make a procedure have unnecessary risk in order to cover her own negligence.

She performed surgery on me . I had a minimally invasive hysterectomy with her. I went home the same day. I couldn't believe how great I felt afterwards. I did my research and I'm glad I did. She's the best

Dr. Lee is not just warm and kind but a terrific gyn doc and I have been a patient for many years. I think she is an excellent physician

I met Dr. Lee in 2004, she presented herself highly profession and concern on my issue. Dr. Lee continues to be one of the best GYN doctors

She really takes her time w you too. I'm very happy to have her as my Gyn

I find Dr. Lee to be precise and honest. She can be a bit direct, but I like this in my healthcare providers. I had surgery and she did a wonderful job, making additional repairs and her follow-up was great. I have been a patient of hers for over 6 years now and highly recommend her.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Lee. There was no one I would rather have had as my physician when I had an ovarian tumor; she is an excellent surgeon and returned my post-surgery phone calls personally and promptly and explained everything about my condition in terms I could understand. For general OB/GYN stuff, though, she is friendly but obviously rushed and I feel like I am bothering her when I ask questions. I also got a phone call from her office staff to schedule a colposcopy - Dr. Lee was, again, friendly during that appointment, but prior to it I would have had no idea what it was for if not for Google because no one, including her, bothered to explain it! I was just told to come into the office for the procedure. This is NOT good practice.
