Very pleased with my visit to Dr. Meis. She was very professional and informative. She answered all my questions.

I keep gaining weight, she keeps telling me I’m fine and to lose weight (years of visits to her). Nothing I do helps and I do exercise and eat very few carbs. I have PCOS, prediabetes and thyroid nodules. The last time I saw her, she told me to do cardio not weight training because that’s what worked for her to lose weight-she’s thin with a normal metabolism. She’s been no help at all so I’ve decided I’m finished with her.

I'm 17 years old and have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's hypothyroidism since I was 14. Went to see her when my classic symptoms plus terrible migraines came back and trying to switch from pediatric specialist because I'll be 18 in a few months. She was condescending and rude. Took four months to see her after scheduling an appointment. Waited 30 minutes to see her, and she only talked to me for 10 minutes. Told me she won't help me because my tsh is normal. Made me literally cry and didn't even apologize. Wouldn't treat me further because my tsh is normal, but my antibodies were super high, even 5 months prior to the appointment. Not punctual or caring. Don't see her if if you have Hashimoto's. She won't help you if your tsh is normal, even if you have the whole freaking list of symptoms. She's not polite. Fired.

Incompetent and doesn't listen. Extremely long wait time. Actual appt lasted 10 minutes.

Sophia Meis was condescending, arrogant, impatient and downright cold. She dismissed my thoughts and made me feel unintelligent. As a patient coming to her for help, I expected more.
