Dr. Stace S Rust, MD

I came in for carpal tunnel pain in my dominant hand. She took ex-rays and then gave me a shot. The shot worked wonders. For 3 months I had no pain. I went in for my follow up and she told me surgery was the next step but due to my occupation I couldn’t take the time off right now. So we agreed to another shot and then if needed before June I would come back in for another shot. Three months later I came back in and she told me she never said she would give me another injection. She doesn’t give injections as treatment only as a diagnostic tool to determine if I have carpal tunnel. Other issues I had was with billing being ridiculously high and her nurse Melanie, I believe, was VERY RUDE!! It was like she was having a bad day and I was her target. Slamming her pen down, huffing and puffing! I was so mad and upset by the way I was being welcomed and treated upon arrival, my blood pressure was thru the roof. Needless to say, Dr. Rust refused to give me the injection, because “I’m a… liar”, and told me to come back another time. From the day I met her I was treated as if I was a bottom feeder. I guess because I look homeless 90% of the time due to my work, she felt like she was better than me. I left this visit in tears. And do you know in the notes from my previous visit it clearly states that I may be in for another shot before surgery! Proving I didn’t lie!!

After surgery there's a ligament, tendon or whatever it's called that isn't where it should be, so there's a popping sensation when I move mu hand a certain way. She said if it continues, she'll have to go in again. Negative, ghost rider.

After months of pain, I finally decided to see a doctor and lucked out with an appointment to see Dr. Stace Rust. She was kind, energetic, positive, and on point. After examining me for just a few seconds, she new exactly what was wrong, discussed different treatment options with me, and performed one on me right then and there. Maybe it was her spirit, her professionalism, her expertise, or all of it together, but she really is a bad a**!

After reading all of the great ratings for Dr. Rust , I am hoping that she was just having a bad day when I went to see her. Her staff was so friendly which would include I believe her name was Jenie and the gentlemen whom took me to have my xrays done. they were both super sweet! When Doctor Rust walked in the room she seemed nice and friendly and began to ask what my situation was and I began to explain to her what I felt and she then did her examination and said I would need additional nerve testing done. I then had to ask about my xrays and she said they were normal, which most doctors usually do as they walk into room initially and inform you of xrays. then I asked if it was a certain syndrome and she seemed annoyed again when I asked and said I am not sure and stated that it can be for sure affecting the nerve I then asked if it was the nerve I had read on she then replied Yes! I just felt like she seemed annoyed that I asked questions, and once again I am sure hoping she was… having a Bad day because we all have them. Every bad day we have can make it a bad day for others. I have set up appointment with another doctor and will hopefully get more out of it.

Dr. Rust was very good at explaining each of the surgeries she performed on me---first when I broke my wrist and then second when I broke my little finger. She listened to my concerns. She scolded me gently on followup visits when I was being too active which was impeding healing. My wrist feels like a new one. My finger will be there soon. All the staff are friendly and efficient. Dealing with people who are all in pain or getting over pain and injury is not easy but they let you know that they care and empathize with you.
