Dr. Stephen Kayiaros, MD

Dr. Kayiaros performed my total hip replacement 5 weeks ago and it has gone very well for me. The anterior approach leads to quicker recovery. I highly recommend this doctor and certainly appreciate his surgical expertise.

Dr. Stephen Kayiaros, MD is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon and a miracle maker- thanks to him, my entire lifestyle has changed for the better!   My name is Ping. I had my both hips replaced by Dr. Kayiaros. Before the surgery, I couldn’t walk without pain for many years. I would wake up at night with hip pain. It negatively affected my work, social and family life.   Dr. Kayiaros replaced both of my hips on the same day. I didn’t know much about the hip replacement before I went for the operation. I was referred by a relative who had a great working experience with him, so I had faith in his ability to do the surgery.   To my great surprise, I was able to get up and walk within an hour of the surgery! I can't express enough the wonderful things about Dr. Kayiaros: He's extremely skilled, understanding, and compassionate, and very knowledgeable. A month later, I was able to walk normally, drive, and work without pain. This was the best decision I made for myself. My lifestyle changed… entirely for the better!   Although it’s a major surgery, Dr. Stephen Kayiaros and his staff made it so pleasant and easy for me. I didn't experience that much pain. My friends who had done hip replacements from other places complained of pain, yet my healing after the surgery was incredible. I didn’t spend any time in a hospital. Home the same day as major surgery at the surgery center in their offices. A couple of weeks after surgery and I was walking without a cane. Great doctor. I recommend him highly.

I needed both hips replaced. I had gotten to the point of not being able to walk at all, and had exhausted all other alternatives (like shots and PT). He did both on the same day. I did stay in the hospital for one full day following the surgery, but got up and walked within a few hours of surgery amd started PT the next day. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kayiaros: He's skilled, competent, and compassionate. Six months later, I walk normally, even run when the occasion demands (e.g., getting out of the way of a bus). This new anterior approach is amazing: No rehab afterwards and both hips can be done at the same time. It's major surgery and there will be some pain and healing time, but not nearly as much as I expected given the experience of friends who had hip replacements the traditional way. And being able to do two at once means I don't have to look forward to another surgery! I have since sent friends to Dr. Kayiaros and they've emerged from their surgeries feeling as I… did.

Did total right hip replacement on me.I was home the next day.I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I had a bilateral knee replacement - staff was great, Dr. K did a wonderful job. Scars are barely noticeable and recovery time was amazingly quick
