Dr. Stephen Scott Scibelli, FAANS

I’m so glad I chose Dr Scibelli to be my surgeon. He has a reassuring confidence and took the time to ask me about my questions and concerns. He was conservative in his approach which I appreciated. My surgery went well, I’m 4 months out and doing great. After following his guidance to the T, I have begun walking/hiking, street biking, scuba diving and can't wait to get back on my on my mountain bike. I can’t express my thanks and confidence in Dr. Scibelli and his staff who provided great care throughout my surgical experience and allowing me to get back to my life! 56 and going strong!

Micro discectomy for a piece of disk between L3 L4. Surgery was perfect. My incision healed up nicely. I spent 20 years in the USMC and have been retired for 10 years. In 2012 I have my first lower back surgery at Baptist Hospital and it failed miserably. I was in just as much pain as I was before the surgery. In 2017 I went to Memorial Hospital Jacksonville, Florida and meet with Dr. Stephen Scibelli. He treated me with respect and believed I had issues. He ordered imagining to see what the issues was then explained everything in a down to earth manner. I did end up having a second surgery in 2019, and due to all the issues I had he said it would be a very painful procedure. After the operation I woke up in the hospital bed and immediately had very little pain. That is with a 4 inch cut on my side and an eight inch cut in my lower back. I am 5 months from the surgery date and have no pain in my lower back or in the incision areas. He also ordered imagining as part of the recovery check ups to see if bone was forming and healing properly. Dr. Scibelli has improved my quality of life immensely, I would recommend him to anyone with spinal issues.

Let me first tell you Dr Scibelli and Effie Burke are the best of the best. When I came to Dr Scibelli I was bent over completely at the waist. After several test, Dr Scibelli told me he could help. Part of the problem was a past surgery that was done incorrect. He did not sugar coat the recovery. I was up and walking a couple days after surgery. It is a year now healing Is great and I am in PT strengthening and walking upright. I Every one that saw me before and sees me since surgery is amazed. I can not tell you when I last have taken a pain pill. Thank you for giving me quality in my life.

I have been under Dr. Scibelli's care during the past few years. He is a wonderful, caring person and treated me as I feel he would a member of his family. He didn't feel that I should have spinal surgery at this time, and I appreciated the fact that he gave me other options that would help my condition. He sent me to physical therapy and to Dr. Formoso at Coastal Pain for spinal ablation. This helped to relieve my pain by 90%. I know that in the future it probably will be necessary for surgical procedures. I will not hesitate to have Dr. Scibelli perform this surgery.

Dr. Scibelli and his team performed fusion for my broken neck that I suffered in a car accident months prior. He gave fantastic care before, during, and after the surgery. I'm not fully fused and will go on to live a normal life because of him. Highly recommend!

My spinal fusion was a piece of cake, no pain after. Pain went from 0 to10 pain 10 to after surgery 0 to 10 pain 0 to 1. Dr Scibelle is the greatest, proessional, friendly and just a nice guy. Before my surgery I was part of the shopping cart club. I couldn't walk from the car to the store without using a shopping cart. After my surgery 2 days later I was walking tall and straight. He fused my spine with rods, screws and a cage and I don't feel any of them in my back. I tell everyone about the great success of my surgery especially any one who I see with back problems and give them his card. If I can help someone in pain like I was I say Dr Scibelle is the one to go to and his staff is so friendly and professional. My rating for him is 1000 or more stars. Thanks you my Angel

After multiple failed back surgeries by another doctor, I got a 2nd opinion. Dr. School ran different imaging and that 5 star doctor did the wrong surgery for my back. In 2013 Dr. Scibelli did my fusion, and 5 years later I am 50% better. He's the best surgeon I feel and only surgeon I will let touch me. I waited 5 years because I still need another fusion on L4-L5, and he will be doing it, without a shadow of a doubt. Dr Scibelli, I will be calling you soon to set up my next fusion surgery in 2019, and thank you so much for what you have done in my life. Yes, I know I will have back problems the rest of my life because of my degenerative spine, but anything helps. I would call Dr. Scibelli "The Fixer", because he fixes other surgeons bad surgeries

Dr. Scibelli performed my lumbar fusion surgery and although recovery has been a long road, he gave me the proper information along the way to help me heal the best. I am a year post-surgery now and have only the best things to say about Dr. Scibelli and his entire staff. Thank you for all of your help...I can't imagine how different my life would have been today without this life-changing surgery (helping a severely herniated disc with root nerve impingement).
