Dr. Steven Edward Fisher, MD

I had both hips replaced by the anterior approach and Dr. Fisher did an excellent job. The recovery time was much less than I expected and the staff at the hospital said he was the doctor they would use. I would recommend Dr. Fisher to anyone planning on hip surgery.

Uses his PA for most appts and she assists in surgery.

I had bilateral total knee replacement surgery in 2011. I was struck, during pre-surgical preparation with hospital staff, that if they were having joint replacement surgery, they each would have chosen Dr. Fisher as their surgeon. An orthopedic surgeon I knew in Chicago who'd written textbooks and lectured nationally on joint replacement, also spoke highly of Dr. Fisher. Although he does use a very capable physician's assistant for regular post-surgical follow-up, when you want to see Dr. Fisher himself, you quite easily can, and he has a warm, concerned and pleasant manner. I recommend Dr. Fisher highly.

Had my first hip replaced the anterior method and had wonderful sucess. I will be having the other one replaced in a few months and looking forward to being whole again. He did a wonderful job. Wish I could/would have done it sooner.
