I had a broken ankle and had 2 surgeries by Dr Sampson. I'm not even going to get into all the hours wasted in the waiting room. After the 2 surgeries and still no improvement and not being able to get out of a boot and crutches for 3 years, I was suggestion a wonderful Dr in NYC. Yes it was far but I got the results I needed. My fabulous surgeon at Beth Israel had to fix all the mistakes Sampson made on my ankle. After just a few weeks later, I was able to walk crutches fee and soon after was out of my boot. I an now able to sky and play sports once again. NO THANKS TO STEVEN SAMPSON. You will regret going.

My son sustained a horrific injury a year ago. My son who is now 27 trusted this man completely. He gave him his expertise with every visit. He would never rush us out. Dr Sampson spent as long as it took to answer every minor question that we both had. This man explains everything in detail and has great listening skills. He has gotten both a Mother and Son through very scary times and for that we will both be forever grateful! Sincerely Karen and Maclain

I was diagnosed with a condition in my ankle and Dr. Sampson told me continuously to try physical therapy, despite me telling him it was not helping. Then made me feel as though the condition was not getting better as a result of me not trying. When I was doing exactly what he told me to do. Finally saw a new doctor who KNEW about the condition, treated me with cortisone injections and ultimately resorted to surgery. It’s a world of difference to see a doctor/surgeon who knows what they are looking at and believes your pain. Being in pain is defeating enough, and you don’t need a doctor who will make you feel as though it’s your fault. Do yourself a favor and seek another doctor, or a second opinion.

This is a doctor who really takes the time to get to know his patients and explain the case fully. Dr. Sampson took excellent care of my trigger finger and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. He's truly an expert, and he's the orthopedist everyone wants.

Dr. Sampson is an excellent methodical doctor. Wait times may be a little long but his bedside manner and professionalism are pleasant. He takes his time to explain your condition, probable cause, and how to treat and heal the condition.

I am a patient of Dr. Sampson and had Triple Arthrodesis surgery for PTTD on both my left and right ankle, (9) and (4) years ago. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Sampson gave me the time and respect a patient deserves. He also gave me confidence that the surgery would go well, and it did. It was so satisfying to find this in a doctor. I looked over the other reviews before I booked with him, and the only bad reviews I see are for long waits sometimes to get an appointment and long waits sometimes in the waiting room. Come on people...we shouldn't be reviewing doctors by "wait times". Do you want a doctor who is an expert in the field, or a doctor who doesn't make you wait. We aren't going to these people for a used car. If he needs to spend more time on a patient before, that's what he needs to do. He'll show you the same care that he showed me when it's your turn. He's very well worth the wait, and nice.

He is the worst doctor and comes in with personality problems, in my opinin he was a miserable person. So i went to see him and he talks as if i am supposed to know everything and very inconsidorate and does not want to listen or hear your questions. You will feel brushed off and un sure of your problem. Do nott goo!!!

I disagree with all the negative reviews I have read heretofore. My entire experience with Dr. Sampson and his staff were totally positive. From ease of getting an appointment, to considerate answers to my routine questions by his staff, and ultimately by Dr. Sampson himself. He explained everything about my Carpel Tunnel stage, what to expect and how long recovery would take. He was realistic with what may or may not happen, yet showed a positive attitude with a gentle sense of humor. It's been almost 5 months and everything he projected seems to be coming to be. I would totally recommend him to anyone considering this procedure. Even if you had to wait - it's worth it.

I went to dr sampson for pain and numbness in my wrist, and pain in my knuckles. He was RUDE, and very arrogant. Everytime I would ask a question he would talk down to be as if I was supposed to know the answers... HELLO if I knew the answers I wouldn't be coming to the Dr. ???? He gave me a shot in my wrist, and basically IGNORED my knuckle pain? I do NOT recommend him and needless to say I will definitely be looking for a new hand surgeon.
