Dr. Steven Jay Schafer, MD

It is with the utmost satisfaction that I write this review regarding Dr. Schafer and Holly Stump, PA. I was very impressed with Dr. Schafer's team from the very beginning of treatment. I had rotator cuff surgery on Jan 31, 2019. I am now entering my 11th week after the surgery. I feel absolutely on the right track for recovery. I am pain free and able to sleep at night. I am beginning to resume my normal activities albeit cautiously e.g. walking, running, etc. Both Dr. S and Holly provided a wealth of knowledge and expertise in my path to recovery. I have seen Holly for my follow-up appointments. She has a world of knowledge on shoulder rehab as well as empathy and an ability to explain herself in a cogent manner. I never felt rushed during the appointments. I highly recommend this team.

Dr. Schafer and Holly was fantastic when tragedy struck our home! They was very passionate, empathetic, knowledgeable and professional through the entire knee surgery process for our son. We would recommend Dr. Schafer and his team to all in need of surgery!

I know most doctors probably wouldn’t do a meniscus repair on a 48 year old woman ... but Dr Schafer did, and what great results!! I have several friends who have had pieces of their meniscus removed versus repaired and they all complain of knee pain and arthritis symptoms. I’m happy to say I have zero knee pain at this time . Dr Schafer’s PA Holly Stump is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and compassionate. I hope I never need surgery again but if I do .... the choice is obvious.

Dr. Schafer has taken great care of me for many years. I greatly respect his approach in that he is not quick to recommend surgery and a first solution. No, he suggested PT, medication and injections before we talked about surgery on my tight shoulder, I has since come back to Dr. Schafer to help with my left shoulder as well. Thank you Dr. Schaefer, I am good as new.

I just had my second rotator cuff surgery from Dr. Schafer. The process was excellent and I have experienced little to no pain for either procedure. He quickly and accurately diagnosed my condition and surgery was performed quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Schafer!

Dr. Schafer is such a great doctor! I went to him for help with my leg and after only 1 month it feels perfect. He's one of the best doctors in Florida. I heard he was great but i didn't realize just how amazing he was until I went to see him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!
