Dr. Stuart Quinzel Hopkins, MD

Dr. Hopkins is one of worst possible doctors I have ever encountered. He seemed to be always on a rush to catch a train and never have time for his patients by giving them excuses that he have other patients to attend. My grandfather was suffering from chronic stomach pain and discomfort for several years. Dr. Hopkins 'diagnosed' him with acid reflux and prescribed my grandfather with high power antacid. After several month when he still complained about his pain, Dr. Hopkins changed his meds but still refused to order any sorts of tests or refer to a specialist. After my grandfather requested to see a specialist several times, Dr. Hopkins, annoyingly, referred him to a specialist, who diagnosed him with stage 4 stomach cancer. Due to Dr. Hopkin's carelessness, my grandfather passed away three months after he was diagnosed. I would suggest any medical body to, if anyone reading my comments, re-exam Dr. Hopkins license and have him go through some sort of training on how to treat… patients.

I am a senior citizen who has acquired some patience and tolerance over the years. Rarely will I make a negative comment about another person; especially a Doctor but no one should be treated the way this Doctor treats the sick. Poor ratings all across the board may look biased or extreme but in this case Dr. Stuart earns each rating. Like another reviewer on this website, I too, experienced consistent misdiagnosis and lazy lies for at least two years. I wonder if he disrespects all of his patients or just the chronically ill, whom he strongly encourages to go elsewhere. That is the reason I found this site. I found it hard to believe more people haven't formally complained about this doctor but then it took me years to speak up myself.This is just my humble opinion. I encourage other seniors to try someone else if given the choice. By all means, confirm treatment and medication with another doctor before putting yourself in any danger.

Dr Hopkins is tactless and rude. Although I love Kaiser. Dr Hopkins has been rude, short, and even lied to me. He made me schedule an appointment once because he said Kaiser did not prescribe preventative antibiotics. I had to go see a specialists which costs $ and time just to have the specialist tell me Dr Hopkins had lied.
