Dr. Cheekati is a welcome addition to our community. Affiliated with the best hospital in Atlanta, Emory! She is smart, courteous, and accessible! She takes excellent care of my wife and I!

When I first presented with multiple symptoms and health concerns, Dr. Cheekati seemed intrigued and ready to do what she could to help me. However, after a month or so of testing that did not point to her initial assumptions, she lost interest and began to medicate for each symptom separately instead of looking any further into the root of the problems. After finding my own specialists who were willing to run tests, I was faxing information and results into her office and returning for follow-ups and she would not acknowledge the other doctors' findings. When information that she requested to be faxed to her was received by her office I never heard back from her regarding the results of those tests that required action. On two separate occasions she has told me very forcefully, "There is nothing wrong with your ___" only to be proven wrong by specialists who were actually willing to run the necessary tests. Beware of wasted time and false confidence...

I presented with positional vertigo. Dr. Cheekati didn't perform the very simple diagnostic that is the definitive method for this condition. She prescribed unnecessary and ineffective medications that made me feel worse. Upon returning for follow up appointment, I was fifteen minutes late due to traffic and had to wait two hours to see her. Instead of considering that her initial diagnosis of inner ear inflammation was wrong. She held fast and prescribed another round of the medication that didn't work. I asked for a referral to an ENT and received correct diagnosis and treatment without medication. I suffered with this easily treated condition for a full month due to either incompetence or arrogance. I won't be returning to Dr. Cheekati

Dr. Cheekati listens and explains. She shares test results promptly. Office is in great location and staff is helpful.

I feel she's a good doctor, but her staff a little slack sometimes!

My time was not respected. I arrived on time for my appt. (respecting the doctor's time) and waited and hour in the waiting room and 30 mins in the treatment room. When I asked about the delay, I was told that they are understaffed and she will be with me soon. I proceeded to wait another 15 mins before being treated for 15 mins total. Secondly, my pharmacy send in a request for a refill that was never responded to. I called the next morning when they were open to have it refilled. The next day I get a call from the nurse to which she said she would refill the prescription. I arrive to the pharmacy after work to find that my prescription is still not there and her office is closed with no one to help. I am now 4 days without my prescription. I will not be returning to this unprofessional practice.

I owe my life to many doctors. Dr. Cheekati took her time and ran every test under the sun After seeing many doctors that are within the Gwinnett Medical Healthcare system she is the only doctor that found my cancer and sent me to the best doctors where I had only 6 months to live. After being well taken care of by the very best oncologist I am going 6 years strong. She is very calm, pleasant and kind. I was very upset one day having to see her before I could see my oncologist and wasn't kind to her nor her staff but the treatment I received didn't reflect my negative outlook I had that day. I had been seen by doctors from the age 14 until being diagnosed with bone marrow cancer stage 4, no other doctor cared or took the time with me to find my cancer which was slow advancing because of my age at the time, I was 38.
