While under her care my mental health stabilized, I was experiencing less side effects from the medication. After the first three months under her care, I was able to return to work, as this was one of our goals, to return to the workforce and be back in public. Dr. Garg cared for me not only as a patient she made it feel as though I was one of her children, the support, the sense of love she provided was amazing. She was able to stabilize my cocktail and expressed that there would be some ups and downs while the medication did take effect. She worked with me and my caregiver to understand the possible side effects of the dosage changes or replacement medication. She and my caregiver would talk about how to help get through symptoms, which demonstrates a high level of care for a patient. Unfortunately, I learned she was to be transferred to a different location; to me it felt as though Dr. Garg was being punished for not being a “pill-pusher” doctor.
