Dr. Susan George Knoche, MD

Dr. Knoche is a total professional. In the initial consultation she quizzed me about my symptoms, history and what I expected from the surgery. Her explanations of the procedure were easy to understand and very straightforward. Follow up and questions/concerns were handled quickly by her staff.

Dr. Knoche was willing to collaborate with another surgeon so that I only had one recovery rather than two. Her PA is also fabulous. Both were available for my anxiety driven questions, no matter how small.

Terrible bedside manner Not skilled. Caused septic infection resulting in death due to not doing a contrast scan and trying to blame complications on the patient. Didn't even speak to the family in person after acknowledging she made a mistake for. It doing the scan after days of blaming the patient for symptoms that were clearly the start of septic infection. She kept saying it's emphysema. When patient had no history of emphysema. She said it over the phone as her patient fought for her life and later died. This was during her residency.
