Misdiagnosed my kids, doesn’t care

Dr. Levitzky is the most amazing doctor we have ever had for our daughter. I cannot say enough about her. I am a critical care nurse supervisor and teach hospital nurses. There is absolutely nothing she does not have expertise in medically. Thank god we found her 29 years ago. The best of the best!

One of the worst docs my kid has ever seen. Misdiagnosed from beginning had to go hospital for correct diagnosis he had pneumonia not a cold. Do NOT visit this doc plus we later heard she’d been sued. Stay Away!!! Miriam G.

Dr. Susan Levitzky is a gem. She has been the pediatrician for the past 7 years for my 3 children. She has a wealth of experience but is also up on all of the most current research; one of my children has a fairly significant health issue and Dr. Levitzky has consistently been aware of new developments in the field. In addition, Dr. Sue looks at the whole child. In addition to the children's physical well being, she asks about their social and emotional health. Dr. Levitzky went out of her way to write a letter to my daughter's school advocating for her when it came out at her well visit that she had been bullied. I will also never forget the time that we called her from out of town at 11pm on Christmas Eve; my 3 year old had what turned out to be pneumonia...and Dr. Sue answered her phone (no waiting for a call back!) and coached us through. Also, she always takes us right on time for our appointments. You will not find a better pediatrician anywhere.

My 9.5 year old child has been in Dr. Levitzky's care for nearly 7 years. Over the course of that time, she has seen my child through gender transition. She and her secretary are very warm and receptive and immediately called my child by their chosen name and began using gender neutral pronouns. Dr. Levitzky is always up on new developments in regard to gender and transition. She is always informing me of new things she has learned in medical conferences. My child and I are so grateful to be in her care.

Dr Levitzky is absolutely amazing. She is a wealth of knowledge and incredibly dedicated. May she never retire!!

I think about Rory Staunton when I see Dr. Levitzky's name. And I ask the question Does Dr, Levitzky know the signs for Sepsis and does she know how fast a patient can die if they do not receive appropriate care?

Sue Levitzky was my daughter's pediatrician from the age of 9 months until my daughter "aged out" and she had to -- reluctantly -- find a new doctor. My daughter had a variety of unusual and rare medical problems throughout her childhood and adolescence. Dr. Levitzky immediately recognized the seriousness of a constellation of apparently minor and subtle symptoms and directed us to the best specialists for diagnosis and on-going care. But she didn't hand us off to these specialists. She coordinated the care. She was the doctor we turned to first : whether dealing with chicken pox, or pseudotumor cerebrii; the doctor who remembered apparently unrelated but relevant medical details when a new, puzzling situation emerged; and the doctor with whom we discussed the tests, recommendations, diagnoses and treatment plans suggested by specialists. Dr. Levitzky has the ability to partner with both parents and children. She is a doctor who listens. She was invariably respectful… of the information that we provided even when that was just a gut feeling that things were really not okay. She was available in any and every emergency -- and her judgment calls about the seriousness of situations were reliably borne out. For the past five years, my daughter has been looking for a doctor whose knowledge, experience, warmth, open-ness to patient input and plain old caring would equal Dr. Levitzky's. But Dr. Levitzky set a high bar. My daughter felt (and was) well cared for, and I felt that I had a strong and respectful partner in helping my daughter grow into a healthy adulthood. Parenting would have been a lot harder without her.

My son was born with a very rare condition that was diagnosed by Dr. Levitzsky. She was responsible for rapidly pulling a team of specialists together, including three different types of surgeons, a Urologist, Nephrologist, Cardiologist, while acting as liason between this large medical team and us..my son's family. I cant praise this dedicated Dr. enough. How do you thank someone who, plain and simple, saved my son!
