Dr. Tammy Donoway, DO

Over a year ago my husband and I asked Dr Donoway to test him for Lyme disease. She refused. Said he had a brain tumor and ordered an MRI. Needless to say he didn’t have a brain tumor. Finally we got into see a neurologist. We requested a test for Lyme disease. Yes it came back positive. So we wasted a year running from one doctor to another or just waiting to see a doctor at her supervision because she would not test him when we asked her to.

I agree she has little compassion, she really could benefit from training in this area. I mean this sincerely. I have seen many wonderful caring Doctors, she is not one of them. I’m not sure if compassion is teachable but when when you truly do not feel well her lack of care doesn’t help.

She is non-objective, condescending, unprofessional, and so devoid of compassion as to border on cruelty. Despite the recommendation of numerous other doctors (including specialists and those assigned by social security) determining that I am physically and mentally disabled, she not only refused to acknowledge the determination, but wrote a report indicating that I should have no restrictions for work whatsoever. I am missing one leg and have severe damage in my other foot due to trauma, and her response was, “I’ve seen other amputees get around just fine, you need to stop acting like a victim.” Her response to my mental health issues was that, “Everyone feels down sometimes, you need to get over it.” She also discussed my situation and personal information with another patient without my authorization and laughed about it when I expressed my dissatisfaction with her behavior.

Dr Donoway has very friendly n trusting medical personality. She is very thorough n examines every avenue of care. Have all confidence in her ability n evaluation

Dr. Donoway is an excellent provider. She is very thorough and cares for her patients more than any doctor I have ever met.

If I were looking for an aloof, condescending , defensive, self-involved physician, I would give my office visit experience a 5 star rating. She was either unwilling or unable to engage in a personable, understanding manner. My visit was all about her despite my efforts to make me part of the equation. She was insulting and insufferable. Before making an appointment with her, I read the extremely differing reviews of her and took a leap of faith to believe in the best. I have NEVER GIVEN such a LOW RATING to any person or product before (I would have given lower if possible.)

Makes judgements about patients and does not address their concerns.

I switched to Dr. Donaway last year, she is first class, a wonderful, understanding and caring doctor
