Dr. Tarek Ahmed Hassan Radwan, MD

My pain doctor referred me to him, we spent maybe 15 minutes on Telehealth where he called me overweight and obese numerous times. When I tried to talk to him about my concerns with my lower back he would jump back to the weight! He was very unprofessional and rude! I wasn't going into this appointment looking to have back surgery, I was hoping he could educate me on my back conditions and he failed to do that! I definitely do not recommend him, especially if you aren't an ideal BMI..

I have a extremely rare bone deformity, Bertolotti's Syndrome, Type 2 A Costello, which few doctors have preformed surgeries on. Dr. Radwan was diligent in his research and offered me the information in a way I could understand about my diagnosis. I am 14 months post surgery and he has given me my life back. Dr. Radwan performed a back fusion for a thoracic burst fracture due to a fall. Extenuating circumstances delayed surgery and Dr. Radwan kept me on bed rest with no activity and pain meds until surgery was able to be performed. Excellent outcome. I would recommend Dr. Radwan 100 percent.

Dr. Tarek Radwan was my last stop after months of trying to find out what was wrong with my back. Earlier on I had been complaining about the intensifying pain coming from my lower back. First stop was my primary doctor. I was referred to an ortho who after 20 minutes of testing me told me to see a Neurosurgeon asap. Back to my family doc. Then I was referred to a Neurosurgeon who after looking at the MRI admitted the hospital is not equipped for the surgery that I needed. That's when I was sent to see Dr. Tarek Radwan @ the Central Maine Neurosurgery. I was in good hands...Skillful Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, et al. I am very fortunate. I thank God for them.

This surgeon ruined my life.

I saw Dr. Radwan after having 3 different back surgeries - the last being a multi-level fusion. When I saw him 5 years later with pain that hadn't subsided after surgery, his response was that he DID NOT want to do further surgery. He spent more time with me in one appointment that the surgeon that had performed two of my previous surgeries...including the 3-level fusion. I didn't really like his PA when I went back, so I never returned, but am willing to come to ME to see this doctor again....hands down.

Dr. Radwan is a life saver. He is through, brilliant, and has fantastic bedside manner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

A great physician. Caring, very attentive to detail. Excellent consultative & surgical skills. My surgery was performed a year ago, and Dr Radwan plans to follow my so far great progress for 2 years. I owe this gentleman my ability to still walk.
