Dr. Terry Shawn Crombie, MD

Dealt with him when I was 10 years old and coming off of improperly perscribed fluoxetine from Kaiser. Yes, at 10. The things that I remember most about him specifically now that I'm 32 -low blink rate -lack of empathy -lack of remorse -arrogant demeanor -argumentative -debates in an obscufatory and coercive manner He is genuinely a psychopath. Given his long history of bad reviews I have no doubt he is playing the system or blackmailing his superiors in order to stay practicing.

Absolutely awful psychiatrist. lacks complete empathy, is highly disrespectful and very intimidating. The absolute worst person to be working with vulnerable and fragile adolescence, avoid this provider at all costs.

I’d like to preface this by saying that I am now an adult. I went to Dr. Crombie as a teenager with issues related to anxiety and attention deficit disorder. He accused my previous practitioner of presumptuously diagnosing me with ADD/ADHD (despite the fact that I had a full evaluation and extensive documentation of attention Issues). He also claimed that my anxiety issues should be attributed to mania episodes instead of generalized anxiety disorder (I am not bipolar, but had been formerly diagnosed with anxiety by another practitioner.) both of these assumptions were made after 10 minutes of conversing with me. If I were his patient now, I would’ve left the appointment 5 minutes in. His listening skills are horrendous, and lacks the ability to communicate in a way that isn’t condescending and outright rude. As a 16 year old, I assumed that he was the doctor, therefore I should trust his discernment. I’d also not been to many other practitioners, and assumed his behavior (though… strange) was normal. It wasn’t. Don’t waste your time. I now fully recognize how incompetent this doctor is.

Dr. Crombie has worked with me for years, he is the best doctor I've ever had, I refuse to go to anyone else.

I was his patient. I saw him multiple times. I've never written a review in my life, but this doctor is so incredibly bad that I'm doing it. I saw a post online today about how a psychologist ignored a childs suicidal thoughts and said "it's just a girl thing, she wants attention" and it reminded me of my time with this "psychologist". Terry Crombie made me feel like an idiot and like all my feelings were invalid. He shoved countless meds in my face without listening to me. I left this "doctors" room, almost every single visit, crying. No other psychologist was available for me to see though, I think it's pretty obvious why. No person would want to see this "doctor". Don't ever book an appointment with him. I genuinely hope he sees these reviews and rethinks his career choice.

Dr. Crombie is an awful psychiatrist. After months of trying to find a mental health professional he was the only one available. It’s no wonder! No one should go to him. He doesn’t listen and is argumentative. Awful experience.

Been to many psychiatrists and therapists over the years... This one was the worst experience ever. Already had an agenda before he even spoke to us, disagreed with years of other professionals diagnoses, never spoke in complete sentences and had my child so confused and upset that every session ended in tears and exhaustion. Seemed to think he knew the patient after no information and made sweeping generalizations that did not fit the patient at all. When I tried to switch providers within the practice, they tossed us. Good. I wouldn't go there again if you paid me.

Provided more harm then helped our child/family and very condescending/judgemental throughout the session. He did not listen to the issue(s)(interrupted throughout the session) and basically undermined all work of our child's psychologist. The worst doctor I have visited in my life!

Dr. Crombie is condescending, egotistical, and judgmental. Why he went into psychiatry is a mystery...
