To say that this professional is biased would be a grotesque understatement. She displays obvious partiality. Terry Mattingly was recommended for hire as a NEUTRAL THIRD-PARTY INVESTIGATOR; a voice for the vulnerable children involved. She was recommended by my abusive ex-husband’s lawyer. I agreed to pay for half of her retainer based on the premise that she was hired to advocate FOR THE CHILDREN (not their abusive father). However, her first charge for the case was a phone conversation to the father’s lawyer. Totally inappropriate as a “neutral investigator” to be getting their initial information from the aggressive parent’s legal representation. She then proceeded to “investigate” with the most blatant prejudice. She did not represent the best interest of the children and in fact exploits information shared to her in confidence by the abused children. During her investigation she had the audacity to repeat things the children told her in confidence (they thought she had THEIR best… interest in mind) regarding the abuse they have endured to THEIR ABUSER causing them to be harshly punished and further abused as a DIRECT result from her involvement. She traumatized already vulnerable struggling children during this process and then refused to acknowledge how she furthered and perpetuated the abuse. She displayed no accountability for her behavior and involvement. She “investigates” and writes her reports based on the findings she wanted to find before she investigated WHILE charging an excessive amount of money (over 12K for a worthless report). As school psychologist, she lacks the formal training and education to be a credible professional in abuse cases. She was obtuse regarding components of emotional and psychological safety. Terry Mattingly is extremely dangerous and will further traumatize abused children. She clearly lacks the education and training to advocate for these children. Avoid this predatory extortionist at all costs for your mental, emotional and finance wellbeing.
