Dr. Thaddeus Geron Sutton, MD

My experience with Dr. Sutton has been nothing but positive. I'd almost given up on finding a physician who is not only knowledgeable but truly cares. I suffer from various serious illnesses such as MG. After many years of suffering going back and forth with physicians who either didn't care to familiarize themselves with the correct notes and not focus on gossip, working along with my other physicians I was finally diagnosed with Bechets disease. My mother suffered a stroke in NY Feb. 2011. I trusted him enough to bring her to VA under his care. She is now the healthiest she has been in years. He's worth every minute of waiting.

Dr. Sutton may be medically competent but when we tried to talk with him about an emergency and we needed information quickly, he personally told me he was going on vacation and we could schedule an appointment when he returned. He had no backup in the practice. He would not talk on the phone saying it was better to come into the office. I asked him why (and I understand HIPAA laws), he said he is just more comfortable that way. The issue resolved itself when the patient passed away. We uploaded messages to inform the practice and they never even acknowledged.

Dr. Sutton is such a nice person. He is always polite and caring, taking a genuine interest in your health and overall well-being

I enjoy the visits with Dr. Sutton but the time it takes to get me in the office is horrible and then the time it takes him to get to me after I am put in the exam room is very long. He has the best bedside manner any patient could ask for. Some of the clerks out front needs training in customer service because they are rude at times. There is one who is always professional and courteous.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sutton for a long time. From his days in Dr. Ashby's office to now, I have seen first hand Dr. Sutton grow into one of the best doctors I know. While the office staff at his present office leaves a whole to desired, its worth dealing with them because Dr. Sutton is a great doctor.
