Dr. Theodore Edward Margo, MD

I am 69 years old. I Had astigmatism and cataracts, LASIK 25 years ago (astigmatism and prior LASIK make achieving great results from cataract surgery much more difficult). Dr. Margo removed my cataracts and replaced my lenses with Toric (astigmatism-correcting) lenses. Outstanding result - I am seeing better than I ever have! Dr. Margo was painstaking in getting my correction just right. Used 3 methods of measuring the lens strength I would need - many ophthalmologists only use 2. Clearly dedicated to getting his patients the best vision he can.

I have a passion for painting, digital art and sewing and my cataracts were really holding me back. Dr. Margo was highly recommended. He had worked with other artists in the past. He evaluated how I used my eyes and what was most important to me. He is very knowledgable about the latest advancements . He visited with me about all the options available and had solid advice on a lens for me. I am so thankful for his expertise and advice. He was encouraging and informative throughout the whole process. The surgery went great! I have never been able to see this well in my life. On day 1 it was perfect. Dr. Margo performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. Excellent results! Prior to the surgery I was severely myopic and had worn thick glasses for over 50 years (since I was a 7 year old child). Performed cataract surgery with lens implant and planned to follow with other eye. Outcome was less than hoped for. Polite through follow up. Has since declined to pursue other eye surgery.

Dr. Margo was my ophthalmologist for many years. I have moved away to the Gulf Coast (near South Padre Island) and am sad to say the quality of health care is lacking here in the valley. I trusted my eye care to Dr.Margo and have not found the same here. Dr. Margo was always caring, sensitive, and he had my complete trust. He had an excellent bed side (actually chair side) manner. I MISS DR. MARGO!!!!

Excellent Doctor- I have been his patient for at least 15 years. Periodic checkups- two cataract surgeries with outstanding results. Always professional and would recommend him higly.

Saw for routine testing, referred by Rhematologist...had multiple exam by techs..Dr Margo spent less than 5 minutes with me, inappropriate behavior...I get a better exam with my optometrist, he just doesn't do the OCT exam I need.
