Excellent Work and Provider

I saw Amalfitano for three months. So thankful that I finally left to seek real help. I felt ignored, mocked and talked down to at my appointments. Was in great pain for three months and Amalfitano kept saying I dont even know why you are here. Finally I agreed with him and found a real orthopedic dr who found out in one week of seeing him that I had two major broken bones in my ankle, a torn ligament and nerve damage. So for three months Amalfitano didnt help me left me in the boot from the emergency room and mocked me at every appointment. Amalfitano wasted my time and money while providing no care. Dont recommend and wont be back.

I went for a second opinion, foot, ankle & knee pain. Without looking at me, he said he agreed with his colleague. I asked further questions and he said he had flat feet and he stood all day, his feet didn't hurt, so mine shouldn't either. If I expected any help, which would be unlikely, I'd need to go to Baltimore. But he doubted they would be able to help with my feet. Arch supports would be my only options. (like I didn't know that on my own?) HE was the knee specialist and never looked at that my knee. (previous total knee replacement by a now retired surgeon.) I'll be finding a new practice. I felt belittled. He was smug and I felt he was rude.

Accurate diagnosis

I was referred by my Family Practice Physician because she felt my knee injury and MRI needed a specialists' review. I got a total of 8 minutes with this doctor and an attitude that my injury was so slight that I was wasting his time. He asked "why are here?" to which I replied "my GP wanted you to review the MRI". He actually rolled his eyes and wrote out a PT prescription.My copay was $130; I don't even know what the HMO was billed for this appointment. My chiropractor spent more time examining my knee, gave me the same diagnosis after reviewing the MRI report and only cost me $30!
