Dr Thomas Michael Mauri

Dr. Mauri saved my life. I could hardly walk. I had severe sciatica down my leg. I was in and out of pain management, ortho, neuro. No one would help me. He took his time, made me feel very comfortable and is THE BEST at what he does. I trust him with my life. I wish all doctors were as kind and caring as he was.

Dr. Mauri is a great listener .He does not rush you and answers all your concerns.My surgery went very smooth. Dr.Mauri came by every day to see how I was doing and never rushed out.

I don't know where these one star ratings come from. I have seen them all over these sites and am quite baffled by them. I saw Dr. Mauri in 2005 at which point I was basically crippled from two exploded discs which had wrapped around my sciatic nerve rendering me immobile. I was in excruciating pain. I had had various stages of pain for years with pinched nerves from degenerative disc disease (condition). He operated on my spine and I have never had another issue. I was out of the hospital the next day. It's been 14 years and I've never had so much as a back ache.

MY HUSBAN HAS BACK SURGERY 11YEARS A GO. HE WALKED INTO DR. MAURYS OFFICE BUT AFTER SURGERY HE NEVER WALKED WITHOUT A WALKER. ALSO HE HAD NO PAIN BEFORE THE LAPENDECTOMY BUT THEY USED A FOLEY. HE HAD PAIN FOR 6 MONTHS AFTER. DR. MURY RUINED THE REST OF HIS LIFE.

Dr Mauri should not be practicing medicine. I saw him for years for scoliosis. My spine curve was at 64, 74, and 80 degrees but dr Mauri said you don’t need surgery. I then saw three other surgeons at Hospital for Special Surgey, NYU Langone, and John Hopkins. These doctors could not understand why dr Mauri did not fix my scoliosis when it was at 50 degrees. Now I have complications from his terrible care!

Dr Mauri is an excellent and caring physician. He pulls no punches and tells you like it is in his calm and reassuring manner. Visits 7 days a week post op.

Dr. Mauri is a skillful surgeon and a good person that makes you as a patient feel safe and secure in his care. His staff is professional and extremely good at their jobs. I would, without any reservation recommend him as the surgeon to treat your condition.

Knowledgeable,patient, kind, professional, honest plus and a superb surgeon. Explains things in a direct and easy to understand manner. Truly cares! It is key to know that he is conservative in his approach to surgery and will give you other options to try first. Tops in his field.

My 83 year old stepfather had lived with severe back pain for years. He finally opted for surgery and Dr. Mauri was recommended to us by several doctors. Dr. Mauri performed the surgery about four years ago and my stepfather who is now 87 has been free of pain ever since. Dr. Mauri is exceptional at what he does and we have recommended him many times.
