This D had no knowledge of my sons real issues, constantly could not remember meds he prescribed, had absolutely no patience for talk and obviously was burned out in his job

Do NOT choose this doctor. He has absolutely no compassion or bedside manner at all. He has the empathy of a brick. Go to Healthgrade reviews on him. He has 22 one-star ratings...way more bad reviews than any good one. PLEASE do not see this doctor!!

Dr Nowotny has a very tough demeanor, but I learned to take that at face value only, since he is dealing with patients with a variety of mental health issues. I had to remember, I was in there for my issue, so his being tough is for my benefit - I just had to suck it up and borrow from his strength to treat my symptoms! In doing so, I had to communicate with him and advocate for my symptoms, to get my message across, he has been very good at prescribing and adjusting the correct medicines. I have seen him for over 5 years, and I can personally tell you that at first he had to spend a lot of time with me in his office, while other people waited. Sorry if that was you in his waiting room, but he told me that he spends the time with each patient to make sure they get the time they need from him, and I know this to be true for me. So plan for more waiting time if you have an appointment later in the day, as he tends to run late, and to spend extra time in his office if you… have issues that will need his help. Trust me, I can say he pretty much saved my life, and he can do the same for you. So talk to him about your symptoms, be a strong advocate for your situation to match his intensity, he did this with me to get my meds adjusted to meet my needs, and continues with me for any changes as they have occurred. Stick with him and he will be a great doctor for you too!

The staff and doctor were incredibly rude.

The practice of this facility is consistent over the last several years; a minimum of a hour wait not matter what day or time of the week of your appointment. Not to mention that not once through the years did the Doctor ever apologize. On to the next.

I will not see this Dr. Again. I have been to him for over a year and have yet to have a pleasent experience. I don't need to see a Psychiatrist that when I leave I feel worse.

He was so rude and I will never see this doctor again. I also discourage anyone from wasting your time with him. He sat there and degraded me and told me all these awful things about my medical condition and all the things I wouldn't be able to do instead of encouraging me and helping me learn how to live a normal life. Not to mention I waited 1.5 hours to see him

Did a horrible job of working with me on medications. Spent only a few minutes with me on each visit - essentially to just prescribe same medicines over and over that weren't really working. He had no desire to help find something else that might work. Always seemed in a hurry to get somewhere else. Did NOT like this Doctor at all.
