Dr. Thomas Joseph Phillips, MD

Dr. Phillips is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in Orange County. He has a beautiful office and amazing staff. He's very professional, handsome and compassionate. He explains everything in detail when it comes to medical terminology and surgeries unlike other Dr's. I highly recommend Dr. Phillips! Great job!

I was in need of a second opinion due the my diagnosis of cervical spinal stenosis that was a shock when I was told I needed surgery. I never would have known of this severe condition had it not been for the MRI that was done. I was very well informed of my condition and he causes as well as the type of surgery and recovery that was involved. I would have never known that although my condition was degenerative my position of working in the office and the repetitive of my duties had aggravated my condition to the extreme that my cord was being compressed as well as my nerves. (very scary). I acquired a sense of relieve that I can live a normal life if refrain from doing anything that will make my condition worse. Therefore I decided to go back to school and do what I love, caring and working with children.

Great demeanor and he was real helpful.

Dr Phillips is not only a great Dr but overall a great person. My son recently had hip surgery on both sides of his hip. After a few weeks of recovery vs months (as I was told it would take 6-12months of healing) my son was up with no problems. He is doing so well with his walking and is currently now participating in sports. I would highly recommend Dr Phillips.

Awesome Doctor

I am in the medical profession and asked a lot of my colleagues who I should go see for the bad discs in my lower back. Dr Phillips name kept getting mentioned. I was in so much pain and the medications and epidural injections were no longer helping. I finally went to see dr Phillips and he was so professional and knowledgeable. He was very thorough and looked at my mri and determined me to be a good candidate for the new xlif procedure. I had the surgery two months ago and I am back to work and have no pain. A lot of doctors go to see dr Phillips when they need spine surgery which says a lot. I highly recommend him.

I had several collapsed discs from being a long haul truck driver for 30yrs. I was in so much pain. Pain meds and epidural injections were not helping anymore. Finally I went to see dr phillips. He was so nice and caring. He had one of the nicest bedside manners I have ever seen in a doctor. He explained the surgery in detail to me and answered all my questions. He had to fuse 2 of the vertebra in my neck. The surgery went smoothly and i went home the next day. He even called me the night after my surgery to see how i was doing. Now i am pain free and off of the pain meds. He gave me my life back. Thank you Dr. phillips

I dislocated my shoulder playing basketball and it kept popping out. Dr. phillips fixed it arthroscopically and now it doesnt pop out anymore. I had almost no pain after surgery and was back to playing basketball 3 months after my surgery. He did a great job. Thanks Dr. P
