Dr. Timothy Marvin Sitts, MD

Dr. Sitts needs to retire. He's from the old school, is arrogant, has a superior attitude, no one can disagree with him. He's a person in a white coat with a name tag pretending to be a doctor. He can't make up his mind about medication. One moment he will prescribe, when I arrive to pick it up, he has changed his mind. Did this to me two times. It's more about practicing protecting his license than treating patients. He really needs to retire and why he is head of anything is laughable.

My overall experience has been ok. I was excited to get the help I need but then realized that the medication treatment is limited to Kaiser approved drugs only. I found better medication to treat add but Dr. Sorts will not approve it. When I asked a pharmacist I was told that the alternative (drugs approved by Kaiser ) are cheaper for Kaiser because they buy them in bulk. The medication I wanted is approved by other insurance companies and an another Doctor(outside kaiser network) recommended it. But Dr.Sitts won't approve it. Kaiser doesn't want to help patients.

Dr Sitts heads Kaiser Mid-Atlantic's Behavioral Health Group. His manner is extremely polished and self-confident. However, he does not believe informing patients about their condition, instead urging them to trust his expertise. This is the first doctor I've encountered whose "factual" statements have been repeatedly contradicted by info from everyday casual sources, like the Washington Post's weekly health section. Unfortunately, because of his position in hiring professional staff and vetoing outside referrals, Kaiser subscribers can thus receive poor quality care.
