I am utterly appalled by the gross lack of empathy, basic human decency, and complete medical neglect displayed by this office. My 19-year-old disabled child has been suffering from severe, repeat ear infections for three weeks, resulting in three separate emergency room visits. We were desperately counting on this specialist appointment for real answers and continuity of care.Because my child is disabled, we rely on Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation. On the day of the appointment, the transport service ran an hour late. Knowing this would delay us, I did the responsible thing: I called the office a full hour in advance to give them notice. I called again when we were just 10 minutes away, letting them know we would be roughly 30 minutes late due entirely to a transport delay beyond our control. When we initially scheduled this appointment, we were explicitly told by their own staff to expect "at least a one-hour wait" in the waiting room anyway. Yet, despite… being fully aware of my child’s acute illness, despite our constant proactive communication, and despite the fact that they frequently make patients wait over an hour past their appointment times, this office flatly refused to see my child and canceled the appointment as we walked through the door. This rigid, heartless refusal to make a reasonable accommodation for a disabled patient had devastating consequences. The sheer trauma and immense physical stress of being turned away while acutely ill triggered a severe, dangerous Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) flare-up in my child. We had to go straight from this office’s front desk directly to the Emergency Room to stabilize their condition and finally get treatment for the infection this clinic neglected. Turning away an acutely ill, disabled patient who is actively arriving via medical transport is not just a failure of customer service—it is a violation of federal civil rights under the ADA and a complete breach of medical ethics. This office directly caused a medical emergency through their sheer inflexibility and apathy.If you have a disability, rely on medical transit, or expect basic medical ethics from your healthcare providers, stay far away from this practice. They view patients as numbers on a scheduling grid, not human beings. Official civil rights and medical board complaints have been formally filed.

My primary referred me to Dr. Walker, and he is an excellent doctor. He’s very thorough and listens to patients. It can take several weeks to get an initial appointmen, but he is worth the wait. Plus, his entire office staff is great. They are always kind and pleasant.
