Dr. V Christopher Inzerillo, MD

This was in Clifton NJ. His first mistake was to say that he didn't think an MRI would tell him anything new that the X-ray didn't already show for my knee problem. An MRI a month later (ordered by a different Dr.) revealed 'subchondral insufficiency fracture of the central medial femoral condyle'. This is not diagnosed by X-ray but only by MRI. His next mistake was to offer a cortisone shot in the knee, which, not knowing any better, I accepted. Cortisone is contra-indicated for this condition and makes it worse. While the cortisone shot made the knee feel better for about 5 days, over the course of the next month, it got worse and worse despite physical therapy, to the point that I can barely ambulate, and only with a cane or crutches. Additional problems showed up on my MRI, which may have resulted from having the cortisone shot since I am much worse now than when I first saw the Dr. He should have gotten an MRI before considering administering a cortisone shot, which was a mistake.

He sells his opinion to insurance companies to deny medically necessary treatment for patients that he has never seen.

Dr. Inzerillo is a superb skilled surgeon who takes the time to explain all the mechanics of what he will do to treat your injury. He is a compassionate, personable and excellent physician.

After I sustained a fall I was recommended to see Dr. Inzerillo after my emergency room visit. I made my appointment and met with Dr. Inzerillo. He was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and honest about my injury. I followed him from Crystal Run to Rothman Institute to Summit Health. He performed two surgeries on my left shoulder and one on my right shoulder. He helped me obtain as much function back as possible. I am truly great full to him for all he has done for me. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Christopher Inzerillo is an extremely kind, dedicated and caring doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Inzerillo as an Orthopedist and Surgeon. He performed shoulder surgery to remove a life-threatening infection in my right shoulder and SAVED MY LIFE !!! He visited me every day while I was in the hospital. I was sent to rheumatologist as i could not put pressure on my right knee. The rheumatologist sent me to his colleague who is a orthopedic surgeon Dr. Christopher Inzerillo. What a kind, understanding and compassionate doctor that took the time to explain everything to me. I had a meniscus tear in my right knee. He has help me greatly and also my mother who is 92 years old and suffers from rheumatoid arthritis in her left shoulder and knee which is so very painful. He gives her a shot in her shoulder and knee which helps her feel so much better. If you are looking for a fabulous orthopedic surgeon(Knee , Shoulder, and Elbow) I recommend him very highly.

Rothman Ortho and Dr. Inzerillo are great to work with. It was easy to get a same week appointment. The office staff is efficient. X rays were done promptly in their bright and modern facility. Dr. Inzerillo is a great listener and spent time arriving at my diagnosis. Treatment was on target. I’m very happy that I found the practice and this doctor.
