Dr Veena Malepati

I really cannot recommend her to anyone. I am a fairly fit, low body weight, substance free patient who requested an anti-inflammatory, and instead she recommended time consuming and expensive physical therapy, as opposed to a basic, safe, non narcotic medication. I told her I was taking tylenol and ibuprofen often, and without truly listening to me, she told me to use it sparingly and no to a prescription. Not helpful. Will not be coming back or recommending her to anyone. Need someone who is reliable. This person is pushing you through the medical funnels for most cost and unwilling to help.

I took my in laws to her. They are 97 and 94. It took a few minutes longer to get them in the car and we were 13 minutes late. My father in law had a lot of chest congestion which is why we were taking him to the doctor. This pitiful excuse for a human being refused to see him because of being that few minutes late and she has previously left us sitting in the exam room for 30 minutes before coming in. Subsequently, my father in law ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. What kind of dr. much less a human being could treat a patient like this. She needs her license revoked and Wellstar needs to fire her.

"Dr." Malepati is exactly what one previous poster related - Disrespectful. She talks down to you when you question her. She did NOT check my chart for contraindications and prescribed medicine I could not take. Waste of my copay and my time.

Dr. Veena Malepati was rude and inconsiderate. She ignored my choices of medical treatment and placed false information in my medical records due to lack of listening. Her demeanor did not afford me the respect and dignity that should have been given to me as a new patient. The assessment of care was totally wrong; I left her office feeling worse than when I initially went in. I would not recommend this doctor to any patient.

Best internist I've ever had. Makes great referral's also!.
