This guys patient care is a joke . If your looking for a orthopedic Dr then keep looking.

Let me start out with if your BMI is above 30 don't go its a waist of your time he won't even think about touching you. My boyfriend and I went in as 1 of our last resorts (surgery) because he has 4 blown disc's, narrowing of his spine and a few other problems with his back and we got hit with "your above 30 BMI and I don't operate on anyone over 30." Now as a patients loved one I'm thinking to myself he's a doctor that took an oath to help people when they are at their lowest, he sure isn't hold up that oath.

I am so fortunate and grateful that Dr. Wake was referred to me. I had a previous back surgery with a different doctor which in my opinion was bad. My second back surgery was performed by Dr. Wake who done an outstanding surgery. I also impressed by his beside manners. Further I had twice now a 3 month follow up and 3 more to go. Dr. Wake is an excellent orthopedic specialist. He is very friendly, and listens to any questions or concerns you have. I have recommended Dr. Wake to others that are suffering with back pain. I am so happy that I had back surgery as pain is much better than before!!

Dr. Wake performed surgery on my back in 2008. I don't believe he ever looked at my pre-surgery blood work because when I received a copy of it, my blood count was below normal. I needed a blood transfusion after the first surgery. I had 2 surgeries in 3 days because he drilled the screw through my spinal nerve. After the first surgery, my pain was so severe I was hallucinating. At the insistence of my family, he finally ordered a CT scan that revealed the screw in my nerve. At 11pm, I was wheeled back into the surgery room to have the screws on my left side removed. After 7 days in the hospital, I left dragging my left leg behind me. 7 years later, I still have more pain than before I met Dr. Wake.

Seems to me that Wake lies a lot

Dr. Wake just performed surgery on my husband who was having severe back pain. The surgery has relieved the pain. Of course he has a one-year recovery time before he can do everything he used to do. Thank you Dr. Wake for giving my husband is life back.

We recently opened an outpatient therapy on our campus.

Dr. Wake is like no other! He is truly compassionate and will strive to achieve the best outcome possible. After have a L5-S1 fusion a year ago, my pain initially was much better but gradually creeped back and I was extremely frustrated. Dr. Wake did not give up on me and finally it was believed to be an intolerance to the hardware from my surgery. He removed that hardware quite recently and we are keeping our fingers crossed that my pain will be much relieved. I have recommended him to several people and will continue to do so!
