Very thorough and no-nonsense. A different experience than prior therapies. The therapy has concluded- I feel quite relieved, and, the assigned homework was a necessary tool that is helping keep me on the right path.

Dr. Stein was referred to me at a time that I felt my lowest. After 6 sessions, and a lot of crying and homework, I feel so much more in control of me- which is something I have never been able to say. He allowed me to talk freely, and never judged. He quickly redirected me when I would slip back into old habits. I can't believe how good I feel. I know I still have a lot of work ahead of me- but, I am now on much firmer ground.

Dr. Stein is a no nonsense therapist. His approach is direct and insightful- made me think in a manner other therapists never suggested. In only a few sessions, I have gained more insight into myself, and, even my spouse has seen a difference. It feels good to feel good.

He is very brusque and curt. He cuts you off to mull over how he feels and tells you to be quiet so he can think. Not a considerate person.

I revealed more and was given insight in my first two sessions, compared to the therapy I have received in the past. Whoever said he is no nonsense is spot on. Yet, there is a genuineness and caring demeanor. I also have done my fair share of homework.

Different approach than I have received in the past- yet, has proven to be very effective. He is no-nonsense, yet, extremely caring and knowledgeable.

I was referred to Dr. Stein by my son, who had him as a Professor. I have been to therapists in the past, and was wary of restarting therapy. The approach Dr. Stein used was different than any other. He was very direct, yet, very compassionate. He made me think of situations in a way that I had not done in the past. And, he gave me homework that allowed me to work through manyvof my past hurts. I am grateful to my son for suggesting I see him.
