Dr. William Charles Torch, MD

My experience with Dr. Torch was not so great. I was a patient of his in the 90's, suffering from "epilepsy". As my seizures got worse, to the point of having up to 20 seizures a day, he would do an EEG and then increase the meds. At 14 I was taking 27 pills a day - and still having all of those seizures. My mom finally demanded an MRI and it turned out to be a brain tumor. This was after 8 years of misdiagnosis. Thankfully my tumor was benign and at that point, Dr. Torch was no longer the only neurologist available in Reno so I no longer had to see him post-surgery.

Great diagnostician and clinician. Been seeing him for 5 years. He has a lot of experience and wonderful bedside manner/personality. He spend a LOT of time with patients, which is why there is sometimes a wait - it's indicative of his care and concern for the patients - covering everything in an appt. I would highly recommend.

I love Dr. Torch. I've been going to him for 14 or 15 years now and he's awesome. I hate the long wait time. They ask you to show up 15 minutes before your appointment, and you sit in the waiting room for an hour or more. Last time I went I was in the waiting room for 4 hours and had to call into work.

Long wait times. Passed along to PA. Rude and unable to write a letter stating diagnosis and prognosis. Had to move court date and doctor still forgot to answer lawyers questions.

My appt. was 2 hours late, overall impression was MD was hurrying, didn't care since it was past 5pm, when apt was 3pm. and made non-courteous remarks to me, felt he didn't care at all about my concerns.

Great neurologist, and sleep doctor. Tailors each treatment plan to each individuals needs. A humanistic man. Doctors don't come like this anymore. He's a special provider and I would give Dr. Torch my highest recommendation

Thank you Dr. Torch. You saved me from debilitating migraines, and helped me with my sleep through your expertise in delayed phase sleep and apnea. You've had great training, and you are very kind-so compassionate and humanistic-most doctors are lacking this these days. I wish you practiced primary care too! I'd send all my friends. You can guarantee I will recommend you for neurological and sleep to everyone I know in Reno.

Very very good doctor. So nice, so bright, helped saved my life. Both in neurology and in sleep medicine. Highly recommend.
