This is one of the most compassionate doctors I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with.

I had been a patient for years and had many complaints of painful periods that lasted sometimes months at a time. Yes, bleeding for days, months at a time! I was prescribed birth control, which never helped. Typically getting an appointment for a problem visit was impossible. So impossible, often when I called for an appointment I would end up scheduling with the nurse practitioner Kathy. Very nice, however never a resolution for my problems. I was basically told my issues were normal for me. I wasn't even able to get an appointment to ease my mind about the possibility of becoming pregnant after being diagnosed by a rheumatologist with Lupus and having two cardiovascular procedures. I recently transferred my care to another physician, he requested my medical records and they sent him pages upon pages of nothing. Not once did her doctors notes reflect that I complained of painful long-lasting cycles and there was nothing even slightly noting that there may be an issue with my… reproductive health. My chart listed me as a normal 31 year old female. Long story short, the new ob-gyn tried a brief stint of treatments and then took me to the or. I have been diagnosed with SEVERE ENDOMETRIOSIS. There were so many endometriomas and adhesion's on and near my ovaries and uterus the new doc says they have been there for years. I am so relieved the new obgyn took the time to listen to my patient concerns and am so upset about the lack of compassion, many copays and wasted visits to IHA Canton. Maybe if you're pregnant this is a good office, but messing around with them and no diagnosis for years I may not have that chance. Very friendly doctor when you can see her, but friendly means nothing if you're in pain and not being taken seriously. Also, her office staff needs a crash course in patient privacy laws. They always call you by first and last name which is totally inappropriate. I am very disappointed with the care I received and would not recommend the office.

Dr McFarland has been my docter for over 10 years. I love her professionalism yet caring compassion personality. At times when I visit her I feel that Im going to see family. She is very thorough and remembers the important and not so important things. A simple thing of reading my chart before coming in to see me and not thumbing through it while talking to me is what I appreciate about her. Truly a rare docter to when everyone is so rush rush rush!

Dr. McFarland is a wonderful doctor who truly seems to care for her patients. She spends more time with her patients than any other OBGYN I have seen. She is gentle and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her.
