She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where she was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha – the most prestigious medical honor society – and was awarded both the Plastic Surgery Award and Pediatric Surgery Award for demonstrating excellence in each of these areas. She graduated Cum Laude after earning a spot as one of the top ten students in her medical school class.
