Dr. James Michael Bee, MD

Leg pain and numbness drove me to get an MRI, then a Doctor; who ordered medication, PT, then shots. Discussing possible surgery a fellow patient at the Pain Management Center told me about Dr. Bee and that he would do everything possible to avoid it. Unfortunately it could not be avoided. One year later, it was the best thing I could have done to have the surgery. Dr. Bee and his staff were always there to answer questions and help in anyway especially Karen. I would highly recommend Dr. Bee and his team to anyone who is having back problems.

Had pain down my right leg Dr Bee determine the need for decompression discectomy surgery. After the surgery pain is gone. He did a great job

I highly recommend Dr. James Bee as an Orthopedic surgeon. He explained in detail what to expect and put me at ease from my first visit through my 3 month visit after lumbar spine fusion surgery. Without his excellent care I would be in a wheelchair today but instead I am now walking without pain and enjoying my family including adventures with my great grandchildren!

I couldn't be less impressed or more unhappy with Dr. Bee's manner and disposition. I am immediately asking my primary physician to find another office I can work with. It might seem that Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group is in the care-taking business. Dr. Bee couldn't seem less interested, or capable, of it. During my initial visit several months ago, he addressed me in a manner that, then, quickly prompted him to encourage me "not to go out on Yelp and tell everybody" what it was that he said. 3 and 1/2 months later, regrettably, that is basically what I am doing. I can no longer say that I have NEVER had a Dr. of medicine just walk out of the exam room and away from me without saying a word. His pre-scripted messages and responses fit just right with his disposition. UN-helpful. I suppose I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback, all the while, though, my pain is at an all time high and there isn't much relief in sight. That, thankfully, will no longer be of any… concern to CSOG. Which will only match the level of concern applied to this point.

I did not have a good appointment or first impression with Dr. Bee. I left feeling bad about myself and my prognosis. I will look for another doctor that will hopefully be more sympathetic and willing to help.

Prompt, informative, helpful. Doctor. Glad I’m his patient. Doesn’t force surgical issues, explains elements of your condition thoughtfully.

I have seen him a few times before and after surgery and I believe he is a wonderful physician. He has always taken the time to "LISTEN" to what I have to say and does not discount what my feelings or opinions. When his nurse found out we drive 4 hours to see him they aligned my care to reduce the number of times I had to travel. In the winter, this is helpful and necessary.
