Dr. John Gaffney, MD

At this point, I've taken all three of my sons to see Dr. Gaffney for broken bones and scoliosis. Wait time is always less than 15 minutes and Dr. Gaffney is always very comforting and caring. He takes the time to explain everything in plain English and answer any questions.

I have had two experiences. Both times the wait time to be seen was over an hour. Waiting room was standing only. How can that be? The office staff does not make any eye contact as they know the scheduling is a mess. Once in the exam room another 15 minute wait. Was told to go for an MRI, had it done the next day and called the office three times for the results. No return call and it was a Friday so had to wait until Monday. Being that most of the patients are pediatric you would expect an atmosphere of kindness and caring.....I will be going elsewhere in the future. The exam room I was in needed to be painted.

Felt rushed although he is nice no appt exceeds 5 mins. Front staff employees are rude and ill mannered.

Horrible interaction with most members of the staff except radiology. The receptionist and billing ladies were rude and unhelpful. Dr. Gaffney has TERRIBLE bedside manners, he rushed through the diagnosis, and quite frankly insulted me and my nephew. Completely unprofessional and most importantly had ZERO compassion. Would never recommend, will never go back.

My daughter was treated by Dr. Gaffney he spends a good amount of time speaking with the parents and at the end of the visit asks if you have any questions....Very good doctor I would recommend him to my friends and family members.

He incorrectly preformed my ACL surgery, a common procedure. When I noticed something was wrong in my recovery he disappeared and I was shuttled around through the doctors in the practice who refused to acknowledge there was something wrong. Even after an MRI they either were not able or did not identify the problem. I had to go elsewhere at the instance of my physical therapist to get the problem identified and fixed through further surgery.

I am a nurse and brought my daughter to Dr. Gaffney after she fractured her arm. He was an extremely thorough and very professional physician. Highly reccommend!! PA and staff were great too. I would have given staff 4 stars but the billing lady has an attitude and is very rude.

My overall experience with Dr. Gaffney was,* H O R R I B L E *.He walked into the examination room nonchalantly, and didn't even bother to acknowledge my child! highly UNPROFESSIONAL of a Doctor.Additionally, he was unreceptive and unresponsive to what I as a mother tried to tell him about the developmental delays my daughter was experiencing, being that I'm with her 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and he only saw her 2 minutes.As I began explaining to him her developmental delays with crawling @ a yaer old and walking at two years old,..He responded with,... "She looks fine to me"...Again... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!It's as if he was in a rush to see his next patient, as he clearly tuned me out. TIME was definately an issue as well.PURE LUDACRIS!...When I asked him for a prescription for Occupational Therapy, he stated that he could NOT give me one and that I see an upper extremity specialist. When I asked if he could refer me to one, he simply said, "CALL GHI"... He didn't… offer any help.....AGAIN,VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!I would NOT recommend this man to anyone!No child should go through what my daughter and I went through today!Signed,An UNHAPPY patient!

He has the worst bedside manner. I felt very rushed during his 5 min exam of my son. Then after his diagnosis had to ask one of his assistants to write down his recommendations b/c he left the room so quickly.
