Dr. Jose Garcia-Guerra, MD

Dr Garcia is my husband’s neurologist. I always accompany my husband and Dr G takes his time and is very caring. Everyone in the office is nice and very attentive. You can message his office using Hellowell.

I don't know where these five stars are coming from but this doctor admitted he had no clue what was wrong and couldn't wait to get me out of his office. He didn't even try to recommend anyone or anything. However, I now have found out the problem and being treated for it by someone else in Palm Coast who is so so much better.

Dr. Garcia has been my sister’s neurologist for many years and he has not changed in his attentiveness and concern for her well being. He is very knowledgeable and genuinely sincere in his approach to caring for her well being and treating her symptoms. I highly recommend him. A special thank you also for his caring and helpful staff over the years.

Garcia himself seems like a good doctor. The problem is there is NO way to communicate with his office. They do not answer phones; we cannot email as they do not accept emails. Doesn't matter when you call (I only call during normal business hours, which are 8-4 or 9-5 M-F but those are not business hours for this office). They are not answering phones after noon and they do not answer phones during what is evidently an extended 2 hour lunch period. I don't know about calls between 9 am-11am since i am busy then and cannot call at that time, but perhaps that's the ONLY window when they can be reached. I wish doctors cared enough to make it possible for patients to communicate with their office. The office staff told me once that the "best way" to communicate with them is through the FL Hospital Portal, not by phone. I tried the Portal once to access my father's medical records after a recent hospital stay; very complicated and required more security than online financial… accounts to access, and even then the site didn't work. As I handle medical issues for three different people with three different insurances with 8 different specialist doctors, the majority of whom do not work with FL Hospital, NO. No more online accounts. ANSWER THE PHONE. It doesn't matter how skilled a doctor is if you cannot even reach anyone in the office.

Dr. Garcia has been my Neurologist for many years. He has always given me as much time as I needed. He is not one of those "fifteen munites and out" practitioners. Excellent bedside manner, efficient and friendly staff. Considerate and compassionate. Great person.

I have received excellent care from Dr Garcia. He ordered or performed the proper tests and diagnosed my problem. I find him caring, kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

The fact that I pay cash is evidently a bad thing to this doctor. I'm having an emergency where I cannot use my hand makes No difference to this doctor. That's ridiculous and I would Avoid this doctor as he has no heart.

Both my husband and I have seen Dr, Garcia for different problems and we could not have received better medical care. He is soft spoken and looks you in the eye. His staff, especially Marie, are the best. I am grateful to have found them.

Dr. Garcia has a keen understanding of the needs of the geriatric patient. He diagnosed my dad, recommended a neuropsychologist for further evaluation and counseling, and suggested more home supervision. We were devastated when he said that dad should not drive anymore but that led to us getting him an array of services to live safely. Dad is gone now but I will always be grateful to Dr. Garcia. He opened my eyes to all of the seniors trying to make it without support. I have since enrolled in U of Florida for my certificate in Geriatric Care Management to augment my LMSW.
