Dr. Joshua Adam Ratner, MD

Dr. Ratner is outstanding. Very knowledgeable about his craft, and equally personable and caring. He has a great rapport with his patients and office team. I visited him because of pain and decreased mobility in my right (dominant) hand caused from playing tennis more often over the past year. Dr. Ratner offered both short-term and long-term treatment options and thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each. I opted for surgery to fuse bones together on the top of my hand, which has completely solved the problem. It is really amazing. Recovery has gone smoothly, exactly as described. The incision mark is hardly noticeable and blends right in with the other folds of my hand. Dr. Ratner uses a practical and flexible approach tailored to the patient. At each visit, he was extremely well prepared, ready to discuss the next steps in the process and to answer any and all questions, which instilled much confidence. The office is also run very well. Everyone I’ve met has been… kind, flexible and efficient + smart with respect to working with insurance carriers and scheduling logistics (which I SO appreciate!). During the course of my recovery, my younger son had a hand injury that required a hard cast. Dr. Ratner was in surgery when I brought my son in, but the practice worked us in with another doctor within 1 hour. All of doctors and staff are very helpful and on their game. The team works well together and communicates fluidly, which creates an upbeat vibe and friendly atmosphere in the office. If I have a hand/upper extremity problem in the future, I would go back to Dr. Ratner in a heartbeat. I recommend Dr. Ratner and his practice for adults and kids alike.

Dr. Rathner took care of my 12 year old son last year who is a competitive swimmer. He broke /dislocated his wrist in 2 places. He was able to make him a cast which would allow him to swim and also go to swim campsâ?¦.his bedside manner with kids is absolutely fantastic and he exudes the confidence that he knows what he is doing with such ease! I am a PA so I expect the best and you will find it in Dr. Ratner

I have a serious work related injury to my dominant hand. Dr. Ratner is very conservative, knowledgeable and gives options. He advised me NOT to have surgery, he said surgery should be my last option unlike the other workman comp orthopedist who wanted to do a $20,000+ surgery. This complicated surgery was not necessary and would have left me handicapped for life. The staff were all very courteous, accomodating and I do not have anything negative to say. Conservative treatment and the right approach taken by Dr Ratner gave me the opportunity to heal and return to work fully functional. I thank God for taking me to this office.

I made an appointment for my child, which they called to cancel the day of the appointment. They the. Told me I could only get another appointment in another office, that would take me 1 1/2 hours to get to on a Monday morning. No other doctor I. The practice could see me at the office I need to be seen at, at anytime . The woman I spoke to was rude and unconcerned. I cancelled and will not go to this practice!

Dr. Ratner was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Not knowing what to expect, I was nervous but Dr. Ratner came in and instantly put me at ease.
