Bad. As I explained I felt like I saw Dr Lyons as a second opinion and I told him that. I waited quite a long time to be seen by him once he came into the room and yet I felt very rushed. He got up and started walking out after the examination. I asked him to wait as I had questions. He had already opened the door and started walking away. I felt extremely rushed. He seemed like he didn't realize I had other questions. He sat back down and at this point that patient doctor relationship felt very strained. I Even had to ask him to please close the door because I was still sitting in my exam gown with my shoulders exposed and in the middle of trying to ask questions. Felt like I was being a burden to him because I was keeping him in the room past the time he was to spend with me. At this point I asked two questions and said okay and he got up and walked out. It was not a good experience at all

Dr. Lyons saw me within 24 hours of an injury to my hand. I had tried to see another surgeon before I called Dr. Lyons, and would not be see until a week after the injury. He had me scheduled for surgery two days later. The surgery had to be postponed for other reasons, but he did his best to get it done as quickly as possible. He was on-time or early at every appointment, and quick and clear with the options he offered for treatment. The amputation is healing very well and I was back to work 2 weeks after.

Just had extensive rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Lyons. Would not have gone to anyone else for this surgery. Did an outstanding job and I am well on road to recovery. Operated on my son for same problem when he was in Hershey Medical Center again with 100% successful results. Superior knowledge and skill in orthopedics. Don't know any other doctor who compares to Dr. Lyons.

Dr Lyons was very prompt if not early to see me for my appts. He was the 3rd surgeon that I saw and was the only one that was willing to do the tests that my physical therapist had been requesting for 6 months. He took his time with me during my appts and gave me a prompt diagnosis.

Dr. Lyons is a very compassionate and excellent surgeon! I have had a great recovery from my shoulder surgery.
