I had to go see Dr. Gelman because of a WC situation. All I can say is I agree with the other bad reviews here. This guy is unbelievable and after he evaluated me I can clearly see where the report is going to go. He is very predictable, showing he will not supportive of you but that he supports the insurance companies. He indicated repetitive work is not an injury and that there is a complete science behind repetitive work. I, too, do not know how this guy sleeps at night. I also wonder if his assistant agrees with this joker or not. I'm going to believe she probably just needs a job.

He is NOT for his patients at all, he is an insurance companies best friend like everyone said. He was cold, judgmental, he sat and questioned me as if he were a detective and never once acted in concern for my health. His only knowledge is to work for insurance companies and debunk any physical issues you do have and lie about your health to insurance companies. He will ask personal intimate questions about old marks on your body that have NOTHING to do with your current injury. He definitely doesn’t approve of you bringing an emotional support person with you. To whom ever goes to him through work insurance, make sure you record EVERYTHING he says and does so he can not continue to do this to others. No one should be made to feel as if they are in a court room when all you are there to see an orthopedic is to get better. No one should have to go through that.

Enough said. Doesn't care about people at all.

I would not advise Dr. Gelman

I blew 2 disk at work and seen my doctor that tells me I will need surgery. I had to see the workers compensation Doctor HIM he tells the Insurance company that I'm 100% fine........ Lol. All for the money and not the good for people. Plus I had to wait 45 after my schedule app to be seen. Medical Board needs to look into his practices.

I can sum this up in a few words after a few visits to DR. Gelman all I can say is this guy is a monster with a degree in medicine he not only should not be able to practice medicine but should not be able to be in the Human race he is a scum ball, that does not care about people; it is all about money to him! not the well being/ health of the people he is treating or even the the quality of life they have with their injuries.Doctor Gilman in my book = Satan; Loves the money not the practice of helping people.

Dr. Gelman told me that he will not operate on my tendon because he can do strengthening therapy without having to repair it and I would 'get used to the disfigurement' and when I said I shouldn't have to get used to it, he replied with 'good luck finding any surgeon to do the repair'. Little does he know that he is only my 'second opinion doc' and my primary orthopedic surgeon already wanted to schedule me. It was merely a double check as to if I was having surgery for the right thing, which Dr. Gelman seconds the original diagnosis. Luckily I do not have to come back to him but is's a lesson learned!!

Dr Gelman was very caring when I fell last week. He took time to explain my injuries to me, as well as my physical therapy plan. Thank you Dr Gelman!
