Weiss is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and founder of Chicago Eye Consultants. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataracts, diabetic eye care, glaucoma and other medical and surgical eye disorders. His expertise is cataract surgery. As one of the busiest cataract surgeons in the Chicagoland area, Dr. Weiss performs complicated cataract surgeries, often referred by other ophthalmologists, and incorporates the latest technology and premium implants on qualified candidates. Dr. Weiss received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Northwestern University with his medical degree. He completed his residency at the University of Chicago and is a proud member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has an academic appointment at Rush University …Medical School where he teaches and performs surgery with the Ophthalmology Residents. Dr. Weiss is also Chairman of Ophthalmology at MacNeal Hospital. Dr. Weiss had been in private practice for 15 years before founding Chicago Eye Consultants in 2006.
